Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KD-27FS170 TV

TV controls do not work

I have a picture, but none of the buttons on the lower panel of the tv work. I can not adjust volume. To turn tv off, I have to unplug it. Any ideas?

Replace system IC then check Sytem area.

The volume lowers itself all the way down to 0 and the zero continues to flash like it is still attempting to lower


You can't reset it you have a sound problem circuit that needs to be fixed by a qualified tach.

My Insignia LCD 42" only


It sounds like it has main board problem, leave it unplug for about an hour to let it reset itself to see if it will work again. It can also be unstable power supply problem.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Remote control and buttons on top of tv wont work!


you unplugged the front panel with the buttons on it and the remote reciever
you have to slide the chassis out
reach in to the front and replug the front panel to the plug from the main board
then slide all boards back in place

Hi you will need to reset your Tv & remote sounds like that children may have played with the remote reset should clear the problem.

No picture, stuck on Video 1, volume self-adjust to maximum


the tacticle (micro switches)on the front of the main chassis have most likely gotten wet at some time,I suggest replacing them all.
