When i turn on my camera it says access and then it tells me to turn the camera off and then back on but after i do this the same thing happens what could be the problem and how can i go about fixing this?

when I turn camera on it says access turn power off and turn on again nothing happens.

Hi. I have the same problem. It shows Access, then turn off camera and then on again. I did try banging on the bottom, but that hasn't worked. Any more suggestions?

I own a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-L1 and when i turn it on in still picture taking mode it tells me the same thing...turn the camera off and on again. I've done this many times and the problem persists.

I have the same problem when I turn the camera on. The lens does not telescope and the screen shows the 'access' message. After a short duration the camera instructs the user to turn it off and back on. This has not solved the proble.

When I turn on my camera, it makes a rattling sound and I get no image on the screen. In fact the screen remains white.
When I try taking a picture, it seems to do all the proper things (i.e. shoots, flash comes out, etc.). But since I don't get an image on the screen, I cannot tell whether I took a picture or not.
As far as trying to repair my camera, I have not done anything since I just discovered this problem and don't know how to proceed it to solve it. Please help!!

when i turn my camera on, the lens keeps going in and out and the screen is black and says "access", how do i fix this?
