You shouldn't need to bleed the air out-if you filled back up with fuel and its not starting you probably have a bad fuel pump-sorry- to bleed the fuel line look where the fuel line connects to the fuel injector rail-on the rail there should be a thing that looks like a tire inflator valve-turn the key on and push in the center of the valve and fuel should come out of it -if not then for sure pump isn't working- cheers Denny

SOURCE: 91 vw jetta diesel ran out of fuel

At the rear of the injection pump there are four lines, each goes to an injector. loosen the flare nut at just one injector. crank the engine over until you see fuel spitting out. Close the fuel line, vehicle should be running. If not then its something else check the fuel filter, fuel shut-off, and check for any fuel leaks.

SOURCE: HOW TO BLEED FUEL LINE ON LANDROVER

on most Discovery's the fuel rail will have a schrader type valve (usually on the right side of rail -US pass side). let the car sit a while before you do this and have some rags to collect any fuel that shoots out. (wear protective eyewear, and dont stand directly in line wiht this as it can shoot a distance). press the valve (like a tire valve) slowly, and fuel will squirt out until the pressure is equalized. in some cases, wiht weaker pressure regulators, you may not get much out at all. thx

My 1999 Windstar ran out of gas and won't start. I changed fuses # 5, and 207; checked fuel injector, engaged. Put in 2 gallons gas. Need more gas?

If it ran out of gas you probably have an air lock in the system. You need to bleed the fuel lines to get rid of any air. You also may have picked up some sludge that had settled in bottom of the tank. Clean the fuel filter first and bleed any air out at the same time.

I ran my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am out of gas and now won't start. Put 4 gallons of gas in it. Fuel pump turns on with key. Don't know where the filter is...

not the filter that iam sure off ,try bleeding the fuel rail where the injectors are is a valve on the end of the supply line ,it looks like a car tyre valve take the cap off and turn ignition on and push the end in with a matchstick and you will release any air then try it but it should self bleed but we all know that in theory and practise it doesnt all work

Ran out of diesel on a 96 vw transporter van, what do I do, I've put deisel in the tank now what?

Need to change the fuel filter first, you may pulled some debris from the fuel tank. After replacing the filter you must prime the system to get it to start. Have a strong battery as you may have to crank a while to get the air out of the system. You can get the air out bt loosening a couple of the injector lines at the injector, crank engine untill fuel comes from the lines, continue to crank engine till it starts to run, will run rought untill you tighten the lines and let it run for a few seconds,. sounds more complicayed than it really is. Let me know if this helped

think you need to bleed the thing look on the bar that supplies fuel to the injectors and you should see something that looks like a tyre valve .turn ignition and and push the middle bit down till petrol squirts out

Back brakes do not work

You need to bleed the rear brakes to remove all air so they will work. Start w/ the wheel the greatest distance from the master cylinder, check master cyl. level often, if you draw in air, you have to start all over again. Repeat 'til all air is removed from system.

Bleeding brakes on 92 pontiac sunbird

start at the rear wheel on passenger side, then the driver side rear, then bleed the passenger side front then the driver side front, don't let the master run out of fluid, check at least after each wheel, bleed until you don't have air spurting noise and u have a solid stream of brake fluid out the bleeder port, u can buy a brake bleeder wrench from any parts store for a few dollars...
