Every time I turn the dryer on it trips the electric. do you know where the switch is to stop this on my hotpoint ctd00 dryer

sounds like the element is gone short curcuit . if the power did not trip it would go bang so be careful .these things can be dangerous .have known the cabinet to be live when earth not conected in the plug...farr64
