Luxpro psd111 thermostat shows snowflake (sometimes blinks), outdoor fan works, but no cool air comes out inside- no air flow at all. Is it the thermostat or an a/c unit malfunction?

If the outdoor unit is running the indoor fan should definitely be running. Turn power off to indoor unit. Put red green and yellow wires together behind the tstat with a wire nut. That is power (red), indoor fan (green), and compressor (yellow.) Turn power back on. This is bypassing the tstat and you should have indoor fan and outside running as well. If yes the problem is in the tstat, if no indoor fan the problem is in the unit. Good Luck!! Let me know!!

This type of unit does not drain into the outside unit. It drains into a nearby interior drain, or just to the outside near Inside unit. If the unit is cooling properly, you're ok.

The unit has a green, yellow and red light (all in a line) blinking. The ac does not respond to any of the controls on the remote. Switching the unit off and then on again doesn't solve the problem.

This sounds like a newer unit with a large circuit board outside at the compressor unit. If so, it is possible that you only need to replace a fuse on that board. have you looked at your operators manual? There should be instructions on what those lights mean...

I need wiring manual for goodman mini split.

outside unit L1 and L2 are load (input 240vac)
then you have control voltage, usually yellow and blue (24vac) this connects to some 18/2 thermostat wire which goes inside as white and red.

note: this unit may only need 24v control which is 2 wires from the inside unit and also 3 wires 2 hot 1 ground for line voltage.

STANDARD WIRING
on the inside unit you have green, white, blue and red control wires.

on your thermostat you have white, red, yellow and green

you run the wire from the outside unit to the inside unit. then run a 18/4 wire to the thermostat if wired and join the following wires.

inside unit thermostat outside unit
green------------------------green
white-------------------------white
red----------------------------red
blue-------------------------------------------------------blue
yellow--------------------yellow

My air went out it will kick on but not cold at all. There is a yellow light flashing inside the panel outside what does that mean. The compresor also isnt kicking on and its a new unit

there is a chart on the wiring diagram on the back of the air handler door that will tell you what the blinking "code" is, you must count the blinks and then look at the chart, there are many variables that would keep the compressor off, if the light is on the module located outside it also has codes listed on the module itself, there may be a voltage issue. the module protects the compressor
