Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

My Behringer gx212 ultratwin amplifier started to lose volume last night at band practice and then I smelled buring wiring. I think I lost or am in the process of losing the amp transformer. I think the electronics might still be okay so I'd like to start with replacing the transformer. How and where can I get a replacement? Any other fixit ideas? Thanks! Steve Holden

Hi I just recently purchased a Behringer GMX 212 and had similar volume dropout on the clean channel only Channel 2 works better and has more punch in clean mode.I went to the shop where I purchased it with a 7 day warranty from some indian dude here in Nadi Fiji, and there was another GMX 212on the floor so I decided to try it out. This was a new amp. I plugged into the clean channel and turned it up full volume on guitar and amp adn heard the volume drop of in the amp in almost a curve and then the whole amp just cut out. We unplugged and waited, turned the amp off, and then on and stil no sound. We then tried the guitar and cord in another amp. The other amp was fine. Can you solve this problem.......my gut feeling is this happens a lot to Behringer amps.

Behringer K3000FX Ultratone Keyboard Amplifier from day 1 has had a slight buzz

For a start , check headphones out.

• if it don't work , check power supply of the preamps.

• If it is OK, could probably the main amp have fail.

But check the main volume .

I have a Behringer GX-212 Ultratwin Powers up But No Sound from the Speakers Are the Speakers Blown? Peter5010@netzero.net

Disconect the speakers from the amp and apply a 1.5 volt battery accross the terminals for split second. If the speaker pops then they work. And there's something up with the unit.

I HAVE 2 CABINETS THAT IM PUTTING 3- 15" JBL SPEAKERSPER CABINET THEY ARE FOR OUR BAND. HOW WOULD I WIRE SPEAKERS TOGETHER. IM AM USING BEHRINGER 2400 AMPS

In order to give you details for connecting the speakers I need to know:
Each speaker details (nominal impedance and handling power).
Since the Behringer 2400 is a discounted model (or misspelled model), the lowest output impedance that this amplifier can handle.
Is there any possibility to plug both the cabinets at the same amplifier?

Mic feedback. I sing on a shure beta 58 mic, into a 350 watt peavey amp, into 2 - 200 watt peavey speakers. My band is loud, and I simply cannot get my mic loud enough for them to hear me, without constant...

It sounds as though you are pointing the peavey at the band in a practice situation? If so make sure that each speaker is at about 60 degree angle to either side of the back of the mike (you facing the speakers), most mics reject feedback when the the user is directly in front of a monitor, but Beta 58s' tend to feedback more in that situation. Alternatively (if it is a practice room situation), why not place the speakers behind the band at 60 degrees each and turn to face the band.

Pot broke off

Use an ohmmeter to read the value. Even if the resistance element has been broken you can read by touching the remaining part and estimating the total resistance by what is left.
NEXT look for an A or B on the can as this is the taper type. You may also find the resistance marked there like 50K or it might be something like 1003 (100K ohm)
You need to match the resistance AND the taper.

Power problem

If you bought it brand new and is only 6 months old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get repaired under warranty since most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
Good Luck.
