If it is in a waterproof bag put it in a 5 gallon pail place the pail in a spot that you can overflow it and put a hose in it running warm water I did that last year and it thawed in 3 hours

What temp and how long to cook a 10 lb ham in a turkey frier?


12-17 minutes per pound at 375 is recommended for an oven. I'm not sure of the difference between the frier and oven. Most prepared hams are fully cooked or smoked. Here's a link to check other info on cooking hams.

How long can aturkey be keot frozen before cooking

I have kept turkeys frozen for 4 years, and cooked them and they were as good as fresh turkey,as long as the turkey is properly vacuumed packed 3 to 4 yrs is not an unreasonable time to keep the turkey...if not properly vacuum packed, cook within 3 months or it may get "freezer burned"...dried out and tastes "funny" (not good).

It depends on the weight and whether it's a whole turkey or just a turkey breast. In either case, smoking is a low and slow process, the can produce exceptional results.

If your smoking at a temperature of 225 -250 degrees and the bird weighs 10 lbs (at 30 minutes per pound) that would be 5 hours minimum). The most important thing to remember is that the internal temperature should be from 160 - 180 degrees to be fully cooked. 160 degrees may be a little on the rare side, so I'd shoot for 170 - 180. If you don't have a meat thermometer, invest a few $$ in an insta-read insertion type. An under cooked bird can cause serious health problems and make you sick as a dog.
