My Nokia E88 phone can not play video files, message showing as fail to open file.

Dear user,

Maybe the file format is not supported, typically newer phones of Nokia support 3gp and MP4 formats, if your file is windows media player file it wont open unless you install an additional software.

or you need to convert the file you want into the formats supported by phone and then transfer to cell phone.

there are many free software available for conversion of file formats as well software's to play multiple formats on phone

File format not supported on my sa2cam08.please help

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Click on this link for instructions on converting videofiles for MP3 players :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5874192-play_videos_mp3_player MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer ordownload them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

My sony ericson xperia x10 mini wont let me play my music files i keep getting an erra message saying file not supported how do i amend this problem

xperia x10 supported video and audio formats are listed below:
Supported Audio Formats MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV
Supported Video Formats MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV

I am not sure what format of video files did you put in your phone. If your imported audio format is not one of its playable video format, you have to transcode it to one of listed above.

As video/audio converter, Aunsoft Video Converter is the recommended program to convert video and audio files to right format for Sony Ericsson Phone.

Good luck.

Whenever i try to play a song on my phillips gogear vibe mp3 player it sais "file format not supported' and they are mp3 files. What gives?

"File format not supported" means that the song that you've downloaded into your MP3 player is NOT an .MP3 file format. For each MP3 player have their own supported file formats. You need to check the manual of your MP3 player to see what are the supported sound file formats (i.e. .mp3, .wma, .mp4). Then check the file format of the songs that are saved in your player.

If the songs are supported but you're still getting the error message, try to delete all the songs and then download the songs again and save it into your player. If the same problem occur, then it may need a firmware upgrade or reformat.

Thank you and good luck!
