I'm trying to use my dish remote and it won't

Hi Alison, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. I apologize for the delayed response. At this point I'm sure you probably don't need assitance anymore but would like to provide it to you anyway just in case you need it in the future. If the remote lights still come on, the remote may only need to be addressed to the receiver.

First make sure that you are using the correct remote control in case you have more than one dual receiver at home. If you do, check that your UHF remote antenna is securely connected to the "Remote Antenna" port on the back of your receiver and that the antenna is upright. Try addressing the remote again. Please take the remote to the TV1 location (where the receiver is) once you are here, Press 'System Info' on the front of the receiver, this should take you to the System Info screen. On the System Info screen towards the bottom you will see listed 'Remote address 1' and 'Remote address 2' grab the remote that needs to be addressed. On the remote, press and hold the clear SAT button at the top for 5 seconds (once the buttons begin to flash) press the number 8 button on the remote, and then the 'Record button 3 times' This should re address the remote to the receiver and should now work. If you need additional assistance please contact me at:kimberly.escobar@dish.com

How do I connect my LG TV to my dish network

Hello Al, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your LG TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your LG TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. I hope this information is useful and if you have further questions feel free to ask!

Can you use philips universal remote as second remote for dish network receiver 322

Hey there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to help. You can use a universal remote to control any type of equipment you have including a DISH Network receiver. The part that is going to be difficult is find the proper code for the DISH Network receiver. We unfortunately do not have any codes that would work with universal remotes. If you are in need of a TV2 remote for your 322 receiver I would be happy to look into getting one sent out for you. Please send me a message here or directly to my email with your account information, such as account number or phone number on the account and I will look into getting one sent out for you. I look forward to hearing from you so that we can get this resolved as soon as possible. Thanks and have a good day.

Cannot program Dish IR remote l03602

adeline_roll

You didn't specify if you are trying to program the remote to your TV or receiver. Is it a replacement remote or did it just quit working? I have provided instructions on how to program to your TV or receiver.

Address to receiver:
Remote: All Other Remotes
  1. Go to System Info screen (depending on receiver - press System Info button on receiver panel or pull smart card out till System Info screen appears on TV screen).
  2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button.
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
Remote: Basic Remote (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the TV Power button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
  3. Press and release the TV Power button.
  4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow on the remote until the television turns off.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the OK button.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or problems. Thanks.

I just converted to an HD dual Receiver on my Dish network. Since then the remote scans much slower than before. Is there something I can do to speed it up or is it just because the HD conversion scans...

melanie195

When you say it scans slower, do you mean when you press a button on the remote the response is delayed before the screen responds? Is this on TV 1 or TV 2? Do you have 2 new remotes? If it's TV 2, you can check to see if the antenna on the back of the receiver is screwed in tightly and is in an upright position. If it is TV 1, check to make sure nothing is blocking the sensors on the front of the receiver. If the problem persist, please let us know so we can troubleshoot for you. I hope this helps.

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. You can either call into DISH Network directly at 1-800-333-3474 or you can email me with your account information (i.e. account number or phone number and name on the account) and I would be happy to get a remote sent out to you. My email is Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com I hope to hear from you soon so that we can get you a remote sent out as soon as possible. Thanks and have a great night! :)

Hiaschulte274 my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network, there are some things youcan do it get back to your programming. The first thing you will need to do isunplug the receiver for 10 seconds and after plugging it back in it will powerup and once you see the green light on the receiver you will want to go tochannel 3. If you still see no programming go through the different inputs onthe TV. I will send a link to help show how to resolve this issue as well. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/bbs-screen
