My power jack plugin is loosely connected to the drum and it keeps resetting if I hit it too hard, Also my 1/4 inch right side jack looks to be pushed and it causes feedback severely!

good policy is to replace any faulty plug in socket and the jack lead
on sound equipment

gaffer tapping the power input plug wont help much
anything pushed... is no good

that severe feed back has a good chance of blowing the device

I need some help diagnosing/repairing the power amp side of my solid state combo guitar amp.

It does indeed sound like the power amp section. Contact the manufacturers customer service department for the schematic. Then trace it back to the problem. If you do not know how to do this, you're best taking it to a repair shop. If you poke around inside with out knowing what you're doing you can fry something or get a nasty shock.

After a gig, I accidentally plugged my monitor sends 1 and 2 on my PMP5000 to the outputs of an external power amp, and powered it up.... I realized my mistake, plugged it in correctly, and now the monitor...

You blew the driver chip for those sends... NEVER plug the outputs of power amps into a mixer period... These chips are surface mounted and you will probably/maybe have to take the main board out of the mixer unless they are on the bottom side... I have several of these mixers and I might be able to uncover the main board of one I have open... Here is the schematic for the PMP5000:
Scroll down to "get manual" and click to download... IGNORE other download links on the page. It looks like you might have blown IC8 on page 5 which is one of the monitor sends. It is a standard NJM4580 chip... a little dual op amp that is SURE to be surface mounted. There is a possibility that capacitor C60 and its mate for MON2 may have been blown so check those. If the board has to come off the front panel... "enjoy" pulling off all the knobs, removing the nuts on the 1/4 inch connectors and possibly the screws from the XLR connector to get the panel separated... Been there, done that...Maybe you will luck out and the part will be mounted on the back of the board... Let me know if you need more help... fredy2 on

Just bought a pair of used Beringers Truth b2031a monitors. one of which doesnt work anymore at all... opened the back of it (took those 6 screws out) and saw that the power connection has been cut of......

Here is the service manual schematics for your speakers:

Scroll doen to "get manual" and click on it to download the manual... Do not click on the other downloads at the site, they are for viewers you don't need.

Take the schematics to a COMPETENT electronic service technician to get units repaired. You obviously bought units that had been hacked before...

I have 2 Kustom KPC10MP powered speakers - very new. One has developed a hiss that increases with volume, regardless if there is signal going into the speaker or not. This is a new development as of today....

Hopefully you were powering ALL interconnected equipment from the SAME receptacle. People can destroy the input circuit of powered speakers by plugging them into a receptacle at the stage and then powering the mixer from another receptacle... Pro's know to power ALL interconnected equipment from the same source, be it a receptacle or a power conditioner to avoid ground bounce damage to equipment. They carry power from the stage back to the mixer on an extension cord. You may have had a static discharge that blew one side of the balanced input of the speaker. The parts are inexpensive, however the labor to get at the amp is usually not fun. I have the dual 10 powered Kustom's and one gets at the POWER amp via removing the speaker after the grille... HOWEVER that is to get at the power amp. The Preamp is probably the failure and it is right at the input plug area and you can get at that by removing the panel with the plugs and power switch and volume control.
I don't have the schematic. Look for shorted RF bypass caps on one side of the balanced input circuit and possibly a damaged input op amp.

My child jammed something inside of my keystation pro usb connector.... Broke the copper connectors inside.... Whats the best way t go about this ... replace the entire piece or soder in a new copper line

If the traces are lifted, then use jumpers to the points of origin of each trace. Tack the jumpers down with silicone seal or other adhesive.

Replace the connector ifthere is any chance of damage to the connector itself.

Hi i have no power to my mixer, no lights come on! Its as if it has blown a fuse or sumthing. I have swapped power leads and still no luck. It has worked for over a yr now! Untill i plugged brand new krk...

Hopefully you powered your monitors from the SAME receeptacle as this device.

If one powers monitors at one end of a room from one receptacle and their mixer from the other end, due to noise spikes on the power lines, one can have one or the other damaged.

ALWAYS power connected equipment from the same receptacle source.

Your unit uses a 250ma fuse according to the schematics. Replace it with an identical type fuse. You have to open the unit and you will find it on the board in fuse clips. It is a glass type, easily seen and replaced.

NOTE: If it blows right away, take unit for repair.

This unit is very poorly grounded, much like consumer electronics so one needs to be careful what you connect to it.
