Sony Bravia TV turns off and back on repeatedly by itself. Green light glows on Set top box continuously, and .

Problem is in standby power supply or microprocessor area---not the do it yourself repair and likely not economical to repair due to age and brand of set.

DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS, CALL THE FACTORY PHONE NUMBER IN THE OWNERS MANUAL AND FIND OUT WHERE TO HAVE THE TV SERVICED, IF YOU ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS THEY WILL VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY. THIS IS CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL FAULT INSIDE THE TV, IT SHUTS DOWN AS A SAFETY FEATURE TO AVOID ANY FURTHER DAMAGE.

There is problem in the power Supply section.check the h-out Transistor if Damage then Change for the Same COde #

is this electricity pocket plugged up to a timer ? or take the tv back to the shop... lost the receit just look for the same tv on computer

check your sleep timer settings thats the most comman prob

capacitor problems in power supply or a regulater isolate the power suppley by disconecting the line output stage/unplug scan coils for example and run a 60w bulb as a dummy load one wire to earth and the other to rail voltage colecter of line output transister if the bulb glows steady the power supplys fine
