Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 Full Version OEM for PC
Had a problem and started repair from disk. Disk is scratched, so I buffed it up and used it bcz it is all I have. However, now Windows is in a continuous loop trying to reinstall over and over and over. Every time I restart the Windows Installer starts up again. I just want my computer back. I have files on there I can't get to.
XP is anyways going to get its support ended on July, 2014.
If you have problems with your PC, and you used a re-install/repair disk, you can't get back to your files.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Once installed, was unable to re-boot the system.
The system kept cycling between logging on and logging off.
Prior to installation, my PC had no problems. All the diagnostics were performed.
The system had MS Office 2003 suite already installed and I had hoped for a seamless update!
Perhaps my naivite got in the way!

SOURCE: Word Perfect 10
I found a way to put an icon on my desktop that lets me open WP10. The bar still gives the same problem, but the icon is easier anyway. I went to Windows Explorer, then Corel, then WordPerfect Office 2002, then Programs. When the icons come up on the right side screen, I right-clicked on the one named WPWIN10.exe, then create shortcut, then Send To, then send to desktop. After that, I went to the desktop and renamed it WP10 and it works perfectly to take me straight into the program. Hope this helps.

It looks like a problem with file associations. The computer maintains a list of file extensions and the programs that will open files with such extensions.
Please go to the link below for details on changing file associations:

If indeed the disk is scratched and can't be read by your CD/DVD drive, you'll have to purchase another Microsoft Works package.
