I have a monitor 2400 and it is flashing code E01 anyone got an clue what that means

E01 means the flame rod is sensing a flame when there shouldn\'t be one. This is caused by a grounded flame rod or pinched wire. For some reason the flame rod could be touching metal inside the heater. The flame rod could be bent or the burner ring is warped so much that it is touching the flame rod. Another possibility is the wire for the flame rod has somehow gotten pinched. If you remove the front cover and the black grill from the heater, you can see the window into the burner. The plate it is attached to has about 10 screws holding it on. You can remove the plate using caution not to damage the gasket and look into the burner to see what is going on. The flame rod should be centered between the burner ring and the burner. Let me know what you find. If you need to order parts I can help you with that.

Why does my torpedo heater blow flames and will it eventually go away?

Your torpedo heater should be blowing the flames against a metal plate which gets red hot. This is how it works. In order to make the units safe, no CO, they need to get as much air as possible into the unit and allow the flame to burn with no restrictions. Yes it will probably do this as it is normal. Thanks for using FixYa. If you need more help let me know.

The plate do not turn red hot. the flame burns outside the plate

Sounds like it's getting too much fuel. Decrease the fuel pressure slightly and see what happens. pressure regulator looks like a pipe plug with a hole in it at rear of pump.

I have a Toyostove Lasr 73 which started complaining of an EE 2 (ignition failure) on startup just this morning. The fuel lifter seems to be working and I can smell a bit of kerosene in the heater, so I...

An EE 2 message can mean 2 things
Ignition never happened or unit did not sense flame
You should see the Igniter glow through the peep window during
pre-heat, easy er to see with front cover off.
If you do see a glow and flame happens, but unit still errors out.
Try to clean flame rod sensor.
Unplug unit.
Single white wire going to burner pot. (pull straight down)
2 screws hold a plate
Turn sensor to 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position
pull sensor out easily
Clean sensor with sandpaper- down to shiny metal
Good Luck

Gas heater won't ignite

I agree. Either the pilot flame is dirty and is not making good contact to heat up the bi metal strip on the pilot assembly, or the pilot assembly is defective. 90% of the time if you clean the pilot orfice and the pilot burner it will take care of the problem

Propane Reddy Heater

AIR MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT IS CRITICAL ON ALL GAS BURNING HEATERS. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE INSUFFICIANT CUMBUSTION AIR WHICH WILL CAUSE A WHITE AND LAZY FLAME .... FLAME SHOULD BE BRIGHT BLUE WITH NO WHITE OR YELLOW TIPS ON THE FLAME.
