Information on brother ult2003d machines

"So Long" means to increase the number of stitches.
Not filling in I'm assuming means you are missing stitches. Check underneath the fabric to see if the top stitch can be seen.
"No" will mean to increase the bobbin tension. The top tension should be on about four. This is the same bobbin tension that you are aiming for.

Brother ULT2003D Plz say filter over screen can b replaced.Any idea on cost. Not sure if mom wiped with solvent but resp 2 touch, just can't see. Thanx 4 any help. Repair agt tryng sell me a new one.

the only suggestion I have is go or call a sewing machine shop that works on brother sewing machines and ask them about the screen,, and what it would cost to replace it, and that will help you decide if you want the repair cost or to trade it in on a new one,, BUT DON'T CALL THE ONE THAT WANT'S TO SELL YOU A NEW ONE...

You may be able to clear it up with a headlight resurfacing kit. These have some very fine sandpaper, rubbing compound, and a sealant. Low cost, and if it doesn't work, you are not out a lot.

Brother PE-150 cannot read PED card

there could be something wrong with the card or the card reader
could be going out.
you might check with brother and see if there is up date for the machine
that you can download.
also if the problem persists, the machine may need to be checked

I have the Brother ULT2003D the part that holds the needle broke. When I tryed tightening the screw to holed the needle the part where the screw goes in broke. Where can I get a replacement?

Contact your local Brother dealer and ask the OWNER if the service tech can get one of these for you.

You should be able to pick it up without taking the machine in.

I HAVE A BROTHER ULT2003D SEWING/EMBRODERY MACHINE IT CAME WITH NO MANNUAL IM ABOUT TO EMB. A 100% POLYESTER SHIRT AND DONT NO WHAT TENTION TO SET IT ON THANK YOU C.C.

I would try embroidering on a scrap of like material to get the tension you want. My Brother (different model) manual doesn't say any specific tension setting for embroidering but just says to set the tension right for the fabric to be worked. If the fabric is stretchy, I suggest using a little looser tension than say cotton, just make sure it doesn't pucker the fabric.

Blank Card, PE Design says it's a ''read only''

Hi - I think the problem is that although the Magic Card is compatible with your machine, it is not recognized by with the PED writer. I have the Brother PED-Basic sfotware and a Brother PED-Basic USB card writer box. The only blank card that the my Brother reader can read is the blank cards made by Brother. Which embroidery machine do you have (not critical - I'm just curious).

If you have both a Magic card and Magic Box, the box should have it's own software. I don't think the PE Design software recognizes non-brother equipment (bummer). The link I've provided below is to a dealer that sells two different blank Brother Cards. One of the cards is 1 mb. The other is 4 mb. They are the same price. You might check your documentation to see whether both cards are compatible with your reader and software. If you're not sure, you can call the dealer directly and ask. I have dealt with this dealer many times and find that they have great prices and are very knowledgeable. This link should take you to the page on which the blank Brother Cards are displayed - scroll down if you don't see them right away.

This dealer is located on the East Coast, so you probably won't be able to reach them by phone until tomorrow. I don't know of a dealer on the West Coast to whom I can refer you. One more thought - Babylock equipment is often interchangeable with Brother equipment. If you have a Babylock dealer in your area, you might be able to find a blank Babylock card that you can buy off the shelf. Just make sure you can return it just in case it won't work.

Let me know if I understand your situation correctly - if not, send me another comment and I'll be happy to research further. BTW - if it turns out that you can't use the Magic card and can't return it, you can probably sell it online.

Thanks for getting back - I really love doing this. If you have general questions about embroidery, feel free to ask. I own several consumer embroidery machines, and I operated a commerical embroidery business for several years.
