SOURCE: plugged a new tumble dryer into an extension lead

you have more than likely ruined the control board on the refrige,a dryer and refrigerator should each be on their own dedicated circuit, they use an enormous amount of current to start, and even if one is running and the other starts thats enough to trip even a 30 amp receptacle, and furthermore extension cord use on these types of appliances even a large gauge cord i.e. 12 ga. that will carry 20 amps is not even a good idea because of voltage drop,as this causes motors to draw excessive current and over heat the motors and reduce appliance efficiency too

This sounds like a thermostat issue. Go to a recyclers and ask if you can get a thermostat from them. Even if you have to get an old dial type it will be worth the effort for now. Just disconnect yours and re-connect the used one and see if it fixes the problem. Please be kind with a thumbs up. P.S. You can remove your old one and if you type in google how to test Refrigerator thermostat>> There is a site that tells you how. You take it and put it in the freezer or something like that. Just a thought

Lec freezer if i turn thr temperature up the red light starts to flash

that is because when you want a colder unit the sensor is detecting a warmer interior hence red warning light comes on.leave it at the setting you want and within 24 hours the red light will go off.

Frost free fridge/freezer - not cold in fridge

The most common problem with refrigerators not cooling when the freezer cooling is the fan which supplies cold air to the freezer. Not easy to get to in most cases. Another problem is the vent to the fridge part is blocked or not operating with the adjustment control.
