Graphic card

Yes provided the expansion slot on the motherboard can fit this graphics card. If your motherboard has a built-in graphics chip then you most likely need to disable the on-board graphics before installing this graphics card and driver..

PC wont boot

Check your specs for this one on your Card (should be on the box or in your included documentation), but I believe your card is PCIE v2.1. If this is the case, your card won't work. Your mainboard is an older one, and you can tell by the black PCIE slot that it is only PCIE 1.0. NOTE: PCIE v2.0 cards will work with PCI v1.0 as long as they meet power requirements, etc. (yours should be fine) but there are no updates to fix this on your mainboard. Time to dig out your receipt and look over the return policy. Again, a PCI v2.0 should work OK, just not the v2.1 cards.
Please take a moment to leave feedback if I helped you out today.

I have Radeon HD 5450 2GB DDR3 Video card, which resolution of moniter would support this video card

This video card has a max resolution of 2560x1600, so generally any LCD or LED monitor on the market should work for it. If you want to have it work at it's maximum though I would recommend a bigger monitor or you won't be able to read anything on the screen. Personally I use a 32" at 1360x768, not the highest resolution but it is what I am comfortable with.

Do you get any display at all? If so then it's needing a driver. If it isn't working at all then:

1. it's in the wrong slot - slot won't support it. Double check the board specs. Some versions say it's supported but it really doesn't.

2. (without my looking at the mother board manual...) is there an onboard video card? If so there could be conflicts. You'd have to disable the onboard video and try it.

3. the radeon is bad.

If the board supports it etc you should be getting some kind of display even if the resolution is low. (then you'd need to adjust it). However if you aren't getting any output then it is one of the things listed above.

My hardware does not work properly.

Have you installed the latest video drivers for it. With the correct and up-to-date video drivers the card will run more effectively and the way it should.
Just go to the AMD download support website.

Step 1) Desktop Graphics
Step 2) Radeon HD Series
Step 3) Radeon 5xxx Series PCIe
Step 4) Then select your operating system
Then click Display Results.

Download the Catalyst Software Suite, it should be around 52.2MB.

ASRock Wolfdale1333-D667 and Radeon 5770 graphic card

Actually, one thing. Intel motherboards, like your Wolfdale is an Intel board, they don't work with AMD graphics cards. I've seen this arise many times, the graphics card is AMD and your MOBO/CPU is Intel... that's a red flag in my book automatically. Take it back and try an Intel Graphics card.
