How do i clean dbm-8 grinder

Do yourself a favor and got the right kind of grinder for the coffee you drink. If you have a dry coffee use a grinder. High oils in some coffee need the blade type of grinder. Usually you can tell by looking inside the bad. See oily coating get a blade type.

Krups gx6000 grinder advertises removable burr grinders and there are no instructions, but is that the best way to clean them?

Hi,
the Krups instruction manual is useless in this matter but if you do have some mechanical insight this is not very hard. You will need some tools, e.g. an Allen wrench to remove the housing lid.
Anyway, you should not have to clean the grinders very often, perhaps once a year is enough. It depends on the quality of the coffee beans you use; the more 'oily' beans the more frequent cleaning is required.
I would not use water to clean it, rather a small stiff brush (e.g. an old tooth brush), but if that is not enough, water will have to be used.
If so, be sure to assemble the grinder only after the burr is completely dry.
Check the link to Home Barista where a very similar grinder is shown, that should give you an idea about what to expect during the cleaning process.
Good luck;
Villi

I was trying to clean my coffee grinder and when I took the bottom off a clear plastic came out and I can't get it back in.

see the steps:God bless you
  • Unplug the coffee grinder and wipe out as much residue as possible with a paper towel or clean cloth.
  • 2 Plug in the grinder. Add a little dry, uncooked rice to the grinder and turn on the grinder. Grind the rice until the grinder no longer has an odor or until the rice is finely ground. Repeat this step if necessary.
  • 3 Unplug the grinder and remove the ground rice completely. Wipe again with a paper towel or clean cloth.
  • 4 Hand wash any removable lid to the coffee grinder with dishwashing liquid. Allow to air dry.
  • 5 Clean the exterior of the coffee grinder with a damp cloth or paper towel

How do I clean the inside of the coffee grinder kitchenaid model A-9

    Instructions Things you need
    • Soapy water
    • Screwdriver
    • Burr cleaning brush
    • Damp cloth

1 Turn off your KitchenAid coffee grinder and unplug it from the socket.
This reduces the risk of injury while cleaning the appliance.

2 Turn the bean hopper, located at the top of the grinder, counter- clockwise and remove it from the appliance.

3 Slide the coffee bin toward you to remove it from the grinder.

4 Wash the hopper, hopper lid and the coffee bin in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry these parts after cleaning.

5 Locate the grind control dial on the front of your KitchenAid coffee grinder. Screws are located to the left and right of this dial.

6 Turn the screws counter-clockwise with a flat head screwdriver to remove them from the grinder.

7 Pull the entire faceplate assembly gently toward you and out of the KitchenAid coffee grinder. The faceplate assembly is attached to the back of the grind control knob.

8 Pull out the burr shaft assembly, which is right behind the faceplate assembly.

9 Brush the burr shaft assembly with the burr-cleaning brush included with your KitchenAid coffee grinder to remove any debris or remaining grinds.

10 Reassemble the KitchenAid coffee grinder by returning the burr shaft assembly and faceplate assembly to the appliance. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver to hold the assemblies in place.

11 Wipe down the exterior of the coffee grinder with a damp cloth.

12 Return the clean coffee bin, hopper and hopper lid to your clean KitchenAid coffee grinder.

My cuisinart burr coffee grinder will not turn on

This model sometime gets plugged up with grounds.

Unplug the grinder, and remove the bin where the grounds go. Look inside the grinder part where the grounds come from the grinder into the bin. This should be clear, and you should be able to see part of the grinder wheel inside. If this is plugged up with grounds, then you'll want to clean it out, but it's possible that the motor has already burned out (we killed two of them last year at my office this way)

Pour out any whole beans that are in the top part. You can pour them in a bowl to save them, you don't have to throw them away.

Unscrew the top part until it detaches from the grinder. This will take 20 or more rotations -- just keep turning it counter-clockwise.

You'll want to do this next part over a sink or a counter that's easy to clean -- you're going to dump a lot of ground coffee.

Looking into the grinder from the top, you'll see the grinding wheel in the center, and packed coffee grounds around the edges. Use a plastic knife or bamboo skewer to clean out the ground coffee. Don't use a screwdriver, metal silverware, or anything metal, as this can damage the grinder housing. You also want to clean from the bin opening. When you're done cleaning, the grinder wheel should turn freely.

Reattach the top portion, put the bin back in place, and turn the grinder on. It should turn on and spin the grinder wheel. If it still doesn't, then your motor is burned out. :(

If it does turn, then put the coffee beans back in and enjoy a cup -o- joe!

Incanto sirius states grinder blocked. Took apart

I own a Saeco Incanto Deluxe. It employs the ceramic grinder that has worked flawlessly for 3-4 years. One day it stopped and "Grinder Blocked" appeared. I removed the entire grinder unit, cleaned it thoroughly and calibrated the grinder. This did not fix the problem. After many similar attempts, I found the entire grinder assembly (motor, grinder etc.) online for $149.00. Install of the new assembly took me five minutes and it works perfectly. Please note that the ceramic grinding blades (there are two round ones that must be aligned corrrectly) cost $40 a piece (same site where I found the entire assembly for $149). My suggestion--save yourself the agony and replace the assembly if cleaning and calibration fails.

My Bunn Grinder sounds like it is jammed. I have power but no mov

First turn grinder to coarse setting and try grinding some white rice through it, that will clean out the coffee oils, if that does not work then the you will have to open the grinder and clean out the burr chamber and the spout for the grounds.
