Joe, first of all don't worry about the certification. That will relate to the site certification, probably the Google site and will be resolved once you have re-established your connection.

It could be possible that when you loaned out your phone the person using it let it, or made it connect to a WiFi that is not yours and should your phone not be selected to reconnect back to your WiFi when in range it may still be trying to connect to another WiFi.

Go to settings, or select the WiFi icon on the phone, and go to the Wi/Fi settings options. You should see several WiFi locations listed. Select the one that refers to your WiFi and press the connect button. If you need to enter a password then do it here, this is the password to the WiFi router and not the phone. If you have not reset the password but cannot remember what it is then this will be the code printed on the back of the router and may be listed as the WEP KEY.

Before you exit from these screens and menus look for an option that allows the function 'Reconnect Automatically' and select it also select any option that offers to switch between network and wifi automatically, only do the last option though if you are happy about your phones data usage as using data over the network could become quite expensive.

How do you remove a wemo device from the app?

Delete the app. Press and touch app until it starts to wiggle and an "X" appears new to the app you're touching. tap the "x" and a confirm to delet message will appear. To stop all other apps from wiggling, tap the home button.

Router light turned into orange after changing password. i changed my router password and when i saved the new password the website told me something like 20 secs remaining. i had no idea what to do a


Please proceed with the instructions below.

Step 1:

Enable the Wi-Fi feature of your mobile device. Look for the wireless network name (SSID) of the WeMo Light Switch which will be and tap it to connect your device.

QUICK TIP: If you have multiple WeMo devices, connect to the one with the same WeMo ID at the back of the device. The WeMo ID is the word WeMo followed by WeMo model,and then three (3) alphanumeric characters.

NOTE: To know how to enable the Wi-Fi feature of your mobile device, refer to your device\'s manual.


Wait until you are connected to the WeMo Light Switch network. A successful connection is indicated with check mark beside the WeMo Light Switch (SSID).


Step 2:

Launch the 7c714365-1d70-4873-b4f9-e5ddfff23375.pngApp.

Step 3:

Tap the wireless network name (SSID) of your router and enter the password when required.

NOTE: WeMo can only connect to your 2.4 GHz network.


Wait while the WeMo App attempts to connect. If the WeMo encounters difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi network, try refreshing your mobile device\'s Wi-Fi and try connecting again. For more troubleshooting instructions,Click Hear,


The Remote Access Enabled message will then pop up. By default, the Remote Access feature is enabled.


Step 4:

When the WeMo Light Switch setup is completed, tap Done after viewing the information of the device.

QUICK TIP: You can customize the Name, Device Icon, and Email of your WeMo Light Switch. It is recommended to enable the Remember Wi-Fi Settings option so the WeMo App will automatically connect to your wireless network once it is in range.


The WeMo App will then refresh, look for devices and automatically detect your WeMo Light Switch.



You should now have installed the WeMo Light Switch with the WeMo App.

With the WeMo App, you can create different rules for your WeMo Light Switch.

Meep will not connet to wifi

Here is the remedy for that error:
We've heard a few reports of Wifi connectivity issues recently, among them 'Authentication error'. If you receive this message, our recommended remedy is to remove all Wifi connection information from your Meep, turn off your Meep, reboot your router, then turn on your Meep and re-add the Wifi information. Follow these steps exactly in this order to resolve this error message:
1. Remove all Wifi network information from the Meep's settings
2. Reboot your router
3. Re-add the Wifi network information to the Meep's settings
4. Reboot the Meep.

Hello Rick,

The invalid server error message you only receive when the phone is not able to connect with your WiFi router or WiFi Hotspot. Please check for your WiFi router or WiFi Hotspot access points settings. Also check for the password your using for secure WiFi connection.

Server not found

you will need to enable your wifi, sometimes there will be a switch on the front of the laptop and sometimes its a key combo (Fn + one of the F keys ex F11) then you should be able to connect to your router/SSID and be back on the net. your getting the server not found because your not connected.

When I try to connect via my home wifi network, the error message "No gateway found" appears. I have put in the WEP key.


You would receive this message when you are trying to connect to a wifi network if any of this is the problem;

1. The wifi network you are trying to connect to has a connectivity problem and hence you are having that error message.

2. The wifi is available but has not connectivity to the internet.

Sorry this possibly means that your home wifi network has some problems.

i've gotten that a couple times when trying to connect via the internal modem, a simple reset usually fixed it. If your wifi settings are messed up make sure your wifi switch is on, ensure it is enabled in com manager too. Also, try removing the wireless network via the software and adding it again. if all that fails do a hard reset. If that fails you are pretty much out of luck. I had two MDA's.... they both slowly got **** as months went by and i constantly had to reload the firmware, you may want to consider a different model
