SOURCE: how do i hook two dj amps together

Hi

If you have speakers that are rated to handle at least 600wrms, then I would run each amp in bridge mode, with left going to one and right to the other. If you have 2 pairs of speakers, then you may have to invest in some Y splitter cables or adapters to send right and left to each amp running in stereo.

check out the different configurations you can do in the instruction manual here

The details of exactly the connectors/cables you will need to do this are also all in the manual. the only special thing you need if you go the 2 pair of speakers in a Y adapter. Most electronic hobby shops sell these. Happy to answer any questions you have about this.

Cheers

How do i hook up my Ultragraph Pro 6200 equalizer to my Europower PMP5000?

You use special "insert cables" to insert the EQ into the path from teh mixer to the power amps. Thee cables have three 1/4 inch jacks and are a Wye type cable that connect the TIP of the TRS jack to the TIP of the plug to be plugged into the OUTPUT of the EQ channel. A second cable ties teh RING of the insdert jack into the TIP of a plug that lugs in the INPUT of the EQ. You need two of these special cables for stereo operation.

There's no reason you can't use the 901's in ALL of your audio experience.

Try this:

Remove the short plugs from the Adaptor jacks. They claim you can record some of the effects (surround, dbfb and tone) from these jacks so that implies it's late in the preamplification path. The question is - did they place it after the Volume Control, too - as many other receivers with jumpers do?

Take an RCA pair from the Adaptor Out to the 901 Active EQ's Line IN; then the EQ's Line Out to a separate amp's Line IN. Attach the 901's to the new amp.

Because we don't know if the Volume Control is in the path at this point, find yourself a CD with a long, low fade-in just in case the signal is at maximum power here. Be ready to Pause it if it gets too loud.

If the Volume Control affects it ok, then get yourself a pair of RCA cable splitters and place them where the Adaptor Jumpers were with the extra leads going to the cables we ran to the 901 EQ at first. That way the receiver still keeps the program internally for its own speakers and the 901's get it, too, but without modifying what the receiver sees.

If the volume control on the Sony isn't in the Adaptor loop you'll have to use the Pyle's volume control. But you could still have the speakers that are directly attached to the Sony useable at the same time.

Hello, Effects and EQ hook up problem

Many of those connections REQUIRE using TRS cables (stereo style) rather than TS cables (mono style). It is possible you have mixed the cables if it worked before.

Any cable plugged into an "insert" should be a TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cable.

Look up these connections in your 1604 manual.

Hook EQ to my mixer

I assume you want to put the EQ on the mains output of the mixer -- is that correct?

Just run the left/right out from the mixer to the left/right in on the EQ, then run the left/right out on the EQ to your amp.
