Question about Televison & Video

Toshiba SD-6109c goes into protection mode as soon as I switch it on. I need a repair manual but cannot find one anywhere. Does anyone know the solution or where I can find a service manual. Please do not send me to a user manual that is not what I need. This problem occured after I blew out both tweeters in my speakers. Something happened inside the reciever when this happened and is switching the reciever off as soon as I power it on.

I know it is an internal problem and most likely something in the amp board has failed. I just need the service manual to trace back to the specific components for the FR and FL channels. These are the channels that the speakers were run through when it failed. Toshiba seems to have hidden any service manual though. It is not even on that paid sites or the link that Andy Turner sent me.

    Thanks for the help.

Unplug all speakers rewire the speakers making sure not to cross anything check all wires for shorts (cat bites etc) Make sure that only 8 ohms (one speaker ) is on each wire or the ohms that are specified on the amp. In electronics 2 eight ohm speakers in parallel becomes 4 ohms total and will put the amp into protection mode. watch for stranded wire pieces crossing to the other wire. If it still has problems it may need to have the amplifier transistors/ics replaced. While the cabinet is open look for electrolytic capacitors that are bulged or split and replace them.

SOURCE: Toshiba SD V393SU2: No

In that case the problem is hardware - a part inside the unit has failed. To find out which part you must open the unit and start testing: check the integrity of the power cable; check that the power source gets the power, check that the rectifier on the power source works, check that the outputs of the power sources are active and what voltage is on that and finally check that the power source generates the stand-by voltage and can be activated manually.
For all of this you need a voltmeter and at least a basic experience in electronics - to know where to look and how to interpret the results. If you don't have the latter then its time to take it to someone who has it.

How do I remove the write protection from my Toshiba 4gb Micro SD car?

Most SD and micro SD cards have a tiny slide switch on the edge of the card. The slide switch in one position to write protect data and the other position to write data.
Move the slide switch to write position.

Was rewinding a tape, then the unit shut off. Now will not turn back on. No power at all.
OK above is some links for your user and a service manual.. use these to troubleshoot and hopefully repair your unit. This sounds like a thing called a Mode switch, inside the VCR going faulty. If you cannot sort it yourself, you need to take it to a Toshiba authorised service center and ask for a "Quote"

My amp turns on and pumps once then it stops bt the amp is still geting power

First try unhooking the speakers and see if it continues to go into protect mode. If it does'nt then your speakers are running to low of ohms required for that amp causing it to go into protect mode. If it still goes into protect mode check your ground, might have a voltage problem and check voltage going into amp. I have read the manual and this amp has advanced circuit protection. So if all I have asked you to do and it still goes into protect mode then amp is faulty and has some output transistors shorted or power supply mosfets shorted. Let me know what you find. But you need to do what I have explained to narrow the problem down. Good luck, Keep me informed. I will be glad to help you thru this. I also have a business of repairing car amps and you will not find anyone cheeper. So if you want it repaired and you feel you can't do it, just send it to me and I will repair. If you decide this E-mail me and we can discuss it in more detail. Just a thought to try and help you out. I have many customers that send me there amps and I repair them and ship them back. A few come from this site. Let me know

When wireless switch is flipped on Toshiba laptop Satellite A105-S2716 - the screen goes black and blinks repeatedly. I thought my screen was going bad but as soon as I flip the wireless switch to 'off'...

this could be a connection problem with the wireless antenna, which is interfering with the monitor, as most laptops have a high effeciency antenna which is fitted in the screen surround, so i would send to a qualified repairer to check it out.

Toshiba dkt 2010-sd

Your first step is to find out which phone system you have. Your phone can connect to several different Toshiba phone systems and knowing the part number of the phone does not narrow it down any.

Also, if you are looking to change voice mail features like mailboxes, recordings, etc.. you may also need to know which model voice mail you have and find a completely separate manual for that.

Protection Error when switching on SD-43HK

You will need to get a service manual and trouble shoot what amp. circuit is defective. if you have no solid state printed circuit board experience, you really should take this unit in to a repair shop and have it estimated. There is no quick fix for this unit. Good Luck.

Inaccessible options

I downloaded the owners manual for the 4300 and on pages 99 and 100, it has detailed instructions for doing those functions. Also note, that it says to hold down the erase button for 2 seconds to bring up the menu you need. If you have followed those instructions and can not do a format, you should check the SD media card and make sure that you have not accidently moved the "write protect" switch on the card. If it is write protected, you can not format.
