Question about Audio Players & Recorders
i have a decent amount of knowledge concerning the left picture. your problem is a little vague but i think it may be broken. let me start with the basics. the sansa fuze has a hard reset function that when you hold the slider to the right for a few seconds it turns off. when released it should slide back to the left. when you slide it again it turns it back on "boots". now you say it is a dark screen, but are the lights on the wheel on? when the ribbon cable to the wheel is loose or broken 1 or more of these lights usually go out. if you take a flashlight and shine it directly into the screen do you see any image. it is easier to see when momy sansa fuze 8g won.t turn on, the sreen is blan - 12_19_2013_12_53_30_pm.jpg />

On your computer, Go to Windows Task Manager or Control Panel. Find the Device Manager. There should be a list called Plug-N-Play Devices.
Find the one that should have the driver details of your SanDisk Sansa Fuze Digital Media Player.
Right click on it and select Uninstall.
Now plug in your MP3 Player again to the computer. This time your computer should detect that your MP3 player is connected and will install the drivers for the MP3 player again.
Hope I was of assistance to you,

Testimonial: "I also checked Windows Guided Help. Their 2nd suggestion was to install the most recent compatible version of Windows Media Player. That worked."
You should be able to hold the power button (as if you were turning it on) for 20-25 seconds, which will shut it off completely. It should work as if nothing happened when you turn it back on again. Hope this works for you!!
