How to shoot staples out of a trutac staple gun

Hello, there. The TruTac (TT50) is a bottom load staple gun. This video on the TruTac (TT50 and TT21) may help to answer this and other questions: http://bit.ly/1Xv7jeZ. I have a Staples SPL77M shredder. It stopped automatically feeding paper when placed in the feed slot and now requires the forward button be pressed and held down to shred paper. If the on/off switch is...

IF YOU LOOK INTO THE SLOT WHERE YOU FEED THE PAPER...GET A FLASHLIGHT ........IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SLOT YOU WILL SEE A TINY SWITCH. THAT THING SOMETIMES GETS GUMMED UP WITH GLUE FROM ENVELOPES AND SUCH... TRY SOME WD-40 ON THAT SWITCH... WITH THE MACHINE UNPLUGGED PUT PAPER IN THE SLOT TO MOVE THE SWITCH SO THE WD-40 CAN LOOSEN UP ANYTHING .... THEN TRY BLOWING AIR IN IT....
ARE YOU SURE THAT THE TOP OF THE SHREDDER IS SITTING FLUSH WITH THE PORTION IT RESTS ON??? THAT COULD ALSO MAKE IT NOT WORK..... OR IF THE BASKET NEEDS EMPTYING THE TOP WONT REST FLUSH ON THE BASKET.

Swingline Optima 45 Stapler - cannot slide tray back in stapler, no staples jamming

Sometimes the rectangular insert where the staples sit on, gets dislodged. On the underside of channel insert is a spring and when correctly seated is in between the tabs of the bottom piece. If the insert isn't in between the tabs, it sits too high and makes it difficult to open and close the staple tray. The staples will jam.

Problem with the Stanley Tools TRE550 Electric Staple/Brad Nail Gun Cannot get the staple drive flush help me please

First, try holding the stapler very firm to your project and make sure that the piece that you staple in to is backed solid with no give or springiness.
second, you might try shorter staples,or . . try dialing in more tension by turning the big knob on the back end that has the "+" "-"

Brand new out of package loaded with correct staples.... unit does not work

I had one. didn't like it.they are herd to squeeze because they work backwards compared to a regular staple gun. Take it back for a refund, tell them it is not what you wanted. They never get staples to go flush with anything you use it on.Buy a Craftsman or a Arrow.I gave my Powershot away, and the person I gave it to threw it away.

I am having problems getting the staple to go all the way in -- recovering dining room chair seats. I have lost the manual -- does the dial with + and - have something to do with it? Stanley TRE500...

Hi Rita,

Yes, the + and - adjusts the depth of the staple. You should check the setting periodically as it has a tendency to move as you handle the stapler.
Also, holding the nose of the staple flush and steady on the surface helps to drive them to the proper depth.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up, keeps me working... Thanks,

Handie Andie

Arrow et2025Hd staples won't go flush

The material you are putting staples into is too hard for this little staple gun.
You will need a more powerful stapler, such as a staple gun that uses compressed air to drive the staples and where you can adjust the air pressure.

Staple problem

pull about 1 inch of staples out of the cartridge, tear off the 1 inch so new staples are flush with plastic cartridge. Reinstall and make 10 stapled sets. By the time it tries to staple set number 3 or 4 you should start to see the staples working. It could take as many as 8 or 9 sets for the staples to advance far enough. Once it staples you are all set/
