Question about Washing Machines
It will fill up with water but will not spin and timer wont count down. It will also drain. Cleaned out the filter and checked out the pump
Hi Tina if your beko wm7247w washing machine wont drain or has a spin problem then you have to check the carbon brushes first.
Also check all waste pipes are clear and inspect the pump I have included this video below.
At our website I am doing self diagnostic videos on these beko's as we speak so all tutorials will be in this link below

you might find this test video helpful but only do it if you have checked the motor

I saw lots of posts on Google about this machine. The timer is probably bad, maybe the fill sensor.

SOURCE: wont work, flashes LR
rapoyner The "LR" error code means "locked rotor". It appears on the display after the machine has repeatedly tried to turn the motor. The cause of the problem could be the motor itself, the motor control board, the main control board or the wiring. If your washer is less then five years old most likely the parts are still under Maytag warranty. It has very sophisticated design and I wood recommend to call the Maytag authorized repair man even if the warranty is already expired. Gendos

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.

probably a bad door switch, if you can take the door or top off and find the wires running to the switch take the wires off theswitch and plug them together by wrapping electrical tape around them and then try the washer. If that dont work may be a bad control board

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.
Newer model Whirlpool / Kenmore washers use a Lid Switch as a safety device. Unless the switch senses that the lid on the washer is closed, the washer will neither agitate nor spin.
Older models only used the switch during the spin cycle.
Try to bypass the Lid Switch by removing the Console and jumping the two outermost pins on the switch.
Following is a description of how to release the console for access to the pins.
This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a diagram on jumping the switch as well as a detailed section on how the transmission works.
It also has a troubleshooting guide.
To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.
Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.
With the jumper in place, try to re-start the washer.
If it works, the Lid Switch is a relatively inexpensive part.
