Withing the IE or another browser, press Ctrl and the + key. This can work in some other software too.
If all objects are too small, right-click the Desktop, click Screen Resolution and lower the resolution to the next size that is bold; then you won't have any pixellated display problems. To change the Desktop resolution, press Ctrl and the + or - sign, just like in other software.
To make ALL characters larger at once, right-click the Desktop, click Display, and there should be an option there to increase the font size. With different versions of Windows, there other ways to get to the Display Properties, including using the Control Panel.
