Question about Nokia N72 Cellular Phone
1) you must sure if the adapter is o.k , you must measure the voltage output and compare with the label, and see if o.k or NOT, replace it
2) if the adapter is o.k test the battery is o.k recharge, or buy some reacharger for to wall, testing the battery for to show is there are 3.7v
3) if the battery is NOT o.k with the voltage, you must replace it.
4) the power switch can be faulty.
5) make hard reset go to the menu, and restore to the factory default.

Your phone's memory card must be infected with virus or has some fault. Please remove the memory card and try to start the phone again. If it goes through, please back up the data in your memory card and format it. In most cases, this procedure solves the "Phone start up failed. Contact the retailer" error.
I'd advice you to format your phones internal memory as well, it will flush out any errors present. save your "phonebook" data somewhere and Make sure your phone's battery is fully charged if not plug the charger in and proceed. NB: interrupting this process might render your phone useless. So, be careful.
To format press *#7370# it will prompt you for security code, enter it and the phone will reboot. Your phone will be reset to "factory settings."

turn of the phone. press 3 greenbutton and star key all at thesame time then turn youre phine on whiolw holding all three keys at thesame time. it should format it n restore to factory default
