Power button Push power button wont go on feels like it went inside case andgo on

I think there is a problem. No brand and model?

Usually there is a pc. of plastic that appears to be a power button but inside of the case there will be an actual button connected to wires that is pushed when you push the button outside of the case. Should be able to use a toothpick to push in on the little circle u see inside of the case. If not you can remove the cover and order the part that is broken.

It sounds like either the push button assembly is broken on the front bezel cover, or the power switch is broken. Follow these steps to take the covers off.

Now look for either a broken piece on the bezel push button assembly or a broken power switch inside the computer case.

Start out with buying yourself a $25 book from the Parts House. The I would go to the front HUBS, secure & safety vehicle before you do anything, Clean, Inspect, Lune & Repair front Hubs as required, get the brakes while you're there. Check your drive line, axles, u-joints etc. Clean , repair , replace as needed. Check for Tranfer case Operation. Is there power going to the front Axle when 4WD is engaged? do you feel a change when you engage the Transfer Case? Have you checked the Power on the circuits? Have you Manual or Auto-locking Front Hubs? Answer all those Questions & read before you do anything.

A.Bad Power On switch. (Behind the Power On button)

C.Power supply cables have come loose inside the computer.
1.Power supply to motherboard. (20-pin connector on motherboard)
This connector has two pins in it for Soft Power On. The power supply does not connect directly to the Power On switch. The power supply connects to the motherboard, and turns on via Soft Power On.

ALWAYS work on a table. DO NOT work on a bed, or directly on a carpet floor. These are high areas for Static electricity! Static electricity will silently burn out computer hardware components. You may not see it or feel it.
Touch the metal frame of the computer case, to relieve your body of static, BEFORE you reach inside.

If you can have the codes scanned in your vehicle it would be very helpful to you. If you have a code for the encoder motor sensor or the encoder motor itself on the side of the transfer case, this is where i would begin, quite common with the push button 4 wheel drive. Check all your fuses first, if OK, ck for power at the horn. Are your cruise controls on the steering wheel or on a stalk on the side? If on the wheel, I would say it might be a clockspring issue. In this case, the cruise and horn both use the same clockspring to get power. The clockspring allows power to go to the buttons on the wheel without breaking wires from the wheel moving during driving, Chryslers are known for breaking clocksprings. The clocksping is located inside the steering column and is not an easy fix. You have to pull the steering wheel. Do you hear a click, feel a tick, or feel anything unusual in the steering wheel just prior to these issues. Sometimes you can feel the clockspring break, the wheel will "catch" for a second before the plastic breaks inside of it.

Make sure there is power to fm modulator. There are 2 reset buttons, one on controller and one inside the door of the changer, push both.

power supply fault it could be any component if not qualified dont risk taking a look inside, high voltage supply.

hi you push the button and it dosent work? maybe the button went bad push harder pull the button out ( if possible) and push with something small and hard you hear anything after you push? if soo then the drawer is stuck or the engine is about to die (not enough power to open the drwer) take a flat screwdriver and shove it (gently) between the carack of the drwer and try helping the drawer out maybe a plastic wheel will brake from this soo be careful in the end these system are ment to start dying after 5 years soo if this is the case sorry wont do any good have a good one
