Can't connect wireless to SpeedStream 4282

Siemens Speedstream 4100 is just a modem, if you want to connect to the internet wireless you will need to set up your speedstream modem with a wireless router.
It can work with almost all the wireless routers available in the market, but I would recommend a Linksys wireless router.

so when you connect the speedstream mode to the computer , it works.
But when you connect the router , it doesn't work.
That means you will need to set up the router again.

Hi, you need to follow these steps:

Remove Adapter and Reboot.Download the correct software for your Adapter. For example, there are two versions of the SS1024 driver and they will not work with the wrong adapter.Install the network adapter and reboot.When windows 98se asks you for the location of the driver, browse to the directory in C:\ and select it.From then on, use windows 98se to manage your connection.I hope, it will work for you.

You need to purchase a wireless router. The router will have 5 ports on the back, one in and 4 out. Are you connecting using a cable or wireless. Also post the ip address that you are getting. To get ip
start-run-type cmd-in the command window type ipconfig.
also post the firewalls or antivirus programs that you are using.

This may actually be an issue with your ISP. There is a good possiblity that your ISP has bound your connection to the MAC address of the network card on your computer. This is a common occurance which is why router manufacturers give you the option of having your router clone your computer's MAC address. Go into your router's management an perform the clone, sorry I cannot give you more details but I don't know the specific model of your Belkin router.

try re-installing the driver for your USB adapter or create a new wireless network name.

You could also try to download the latest driver for your USB adapter. uninstall the old driver before installing the latest driver for your USB adapter.

cabel you dont need to set in log on but dsl you do

um not sure, but if you have the disk that came with your router run it and fill in the wireless wizard. Also, on my 6520 the "wireless" led doesnt light up unless i have a device connected that is wireless. Your laptop may be incorrectly setup
