Question about Shure SLX4 RECEIVER w/PS20 (L4) SLX4L4 Microphone

Shure ur3 and slx4 L4 receiver

I can get the frequencies of the ur3 and the SLX4 to match @ 641.500MHz, but why can't I get a signal to show on the receiver???

Those systems use different tone key, noise reduction, and companding techniques. They are not compatible with each other.

If you shout into mic and the audio signal LED on receiver lights everything is ok.First check your receiver to amplifier jacks and cables,If ok check muting transistor inside the receiver next to the audio output terminal.As an expert on cordless microphones I'll be glad to answer your questions. I recently replaced my power supply on my 15 yr old sure L4 wireless mic i use on my sax. It is 12.5V 800mal required. The radio shack replacement is 12V 800MA. I have developed a low 60 cycle hum. ...


The voltage difference will not matter. This sounds like it is a poorly designed power supply. I suggest calling Shure Parts (800-516-2525, option 3) to order a new power supply that will work with the L4 receiver.
