Settings for DSTV Multichoice South Africa
The following settings are very easy to configure and work on all decoders.
Step 1: On the remote press menu, then choose 'Advanced options' then choose 'Dish installation'
Step 2: the pin code is 9949
Step 3: You will notice a screen that has Network 1, Network 2, Network 3, More Networks.
NB: Ignore Network 1, it is for all the channels you currently have.
Step 4: From Network 2 & onwards Enter the following Information:
NB: The Satellite name you create for ALL is DSTV PAS7

Once done select 'Scan all networks'.
It should then scan for 3-4 minutes.
Your 30+ New Channels can be found under 'Public Bouquet'.
Should you screw up anywhere simply choose 'Restore Factory Settings".
You should now receive Islam TV from U.K, ITV from S.A, Botswana TV, and many more.

Although there may be free channels available, they are mostly cultural and religious channels paid for by the owner themselves,
where-as entetainment channels have a royalty licence paid by multichoice to the respective broadcasters. now the trick comes in with your smartcard, the number at the back is essentially like a phone number, and like with your phone when they scramble the signal there is not much you can do about it.

I have just bought binatone 750 they been charging for about 6 hours and are working. When on same channel we still cannot talk? help

Check your programming. Your frequency and (sub-channel) code both need to match on both radios. To operate in a simple mode, turn off the (sub-channel) code.
If you are using one of the common 8 frequencies and no sub-channel, you should be able to communicate. If you are still have difficulties post a follow-up question with more details and someone will try to assist you. OR call the toll-free number in the user guide for warranty assistance with the manufacturer.
Best regards.

Woofer assistance

You need to buy an active (self-amplified) subwoofer. Attach it to the Subwoofer Preout connector.

Go into Speaker Setup (SP SYS/SETUP Button near upper right side of Op Panel) and follow the prompts.

The parameter we're most interested in is the question "Subwoofer Yes" or "No".

Some guidance when selecting speaker parameters for the rest of the channels:

SMALL vs LARGE: This has nothing to do with size so much as it deals with the BASS handling capacity of the speakers. If you say SMALL, most low frequencies from those channels will be re-routed from them to the Subwoofer. If you say LARGE the channels will still get the low frequencies they deserve.

I imagine you would be able to answer LARGE for all of your speakers.

Even if you have all LARGE speakers defined the Sub will still have work to do as it will be dealt the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) from encoded movies and all or most of the content below certain frequencies.

My sony v333es say protection panel power off

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot if the word PROTECT or PROTECTOR is flashing on the A/V receivers display.
  1. Check the speaker wires and speakers for proper connections.
  2. Reduce the volume level. IMPORTANT: If the receiver is played back at maximum volume level it may enter the protect mode. Maximum volume listening will cause the receiver to run very hot and may drain the output capacitors.
  3. Disable the surround sound option if both the A and B speakers are being used simultaneously.
  4. Ensure the top of the receiver has proper ventilation to keep it from overheating.
  5. If the message only occurs when using a DVD player, the sampling frequency may be set too high. IMPORTANT: Some receivers provide compatibility with the higher sampling frequencies through alternate connections. Consult the owners manual for specific information.
  6. Unplug the AC power cord for about 1 to 2 hours to reset the output transformers.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required. The Sony® eService Web site at http://eservice.sony.com/ can assist you in obtaining service from a Sony Service Center or locating a Sony Authorized Servicer.
