Tying to scan

I am trying to scan a dcoument on hp deskjet f2210 to my computer and i am failing.

    What happens when it fails?

    I have a 2110, I have had trouble with and may be able to point to some help.

    re-installing software [170mb] might help

WELL U MAY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH UR INSTALLATION ....
GO TO HELP AND SEE IF U CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM....IF NOT GO IN TOUCH WITH HP SUPPORT OR UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL UR PRINTER WITH UR INSTALLATION DISC AND FOLLOW THE PROMPT
MAKE SURE UR USB CABLE IS NOT CONNECTED WHEN U START,,,ONLY POWERCBALE AND INSTALL USB WHEN ASK

In order to use the scanning feature you would need to install the drivers and other software that comes with the printer. If you haven't install either, please visit http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3571755
and download the drivers for your operating system. It should come with some sort of imaging suite that would allow you to scan documents and save them to the computer.

I cant get my deskjet f2210 all in one printer to scan. it blinks a thousand times and then does nothing. I realized i didn't have the hp photosmart essential software so i downloaded it but it still...


Try installing the latest drivers from the website. To download:
1 Go to hp.com 2 Click on Support and Drives 3 Enter your product name or number, in this case just type in Officejet 8500 All-In-One 4 Hit go 5 Choose your operating system 6 Hit Next 7 Click on the link that says Driver - Product Installation Software 8 Save it to your desktop
But before Installing the Software, use the Disc that came with the printer so you can do an L3_Uninstall first.

To go for an L3_Uninstall:
1 Go to My Computer (XP), Computer (Vista and Win7) 2 Right Click on the Driver CD, The one that has the HP Logo 3 Open Util 4 Open CCC 5 Double Click on the icon that says Uninstall_L3
The Uninstall will prompt you to restart the computer once it's done. After doing so, Install the newly downloaded software.
Try scanning again, I hope this worked. :)

Where can I get a power supply for a hp printer deskjet f2210


power module 0957-2231, is the part number ..do you have the power cord for it ?
Requires a separate 2-wire AC power cord

cost should be about $20-$30 or less.. depends where you buy it .. try ebay or local computer store

HP Deskjet F2210 Will Not Scan


1. Installed software ?
2. On the software when you click SCAN
does it make any noise? or movement?
3. If the software is installed correctly then you might have to:
a. reboot the computer
b. turn off the printer / reset
c. see if this works

My F2210 will print but it won't allow me to use the printer icon on the bar and the Solution center says it cannot detect any HP products when I open it. Plus it won't scan. OH well. I get what I pay...


HP software just makes this things

Try scanning using the the windows wizard

To do that click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Scanner and Camera Wizard.

Deskjet F2210 wont scan

Click programs

Click HP

Click HP support center

Click Scan.



Ths scan button on the deskjeyt itself wont work, but the scand command done directly in the computer does.

I recommend uninstalling all HP components from your add/remove section in the Control Panel - restart computer - and then reinstall from the original disk sent from the manufacturer. Do you still have the disk?
