Question about NetGear : WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, RETAIL (DSNGWG111)

USB 2.0 802.11n Doesn't Work

Something happened to our wireless connection using the above-mentioned product as it no longer detects a signal to the router. I uninstalled the driver thinking that may be the problem and thought I could reinstall it again by simply plugging the device back into the computer. That didn't work.

Is there a driver I can download?

Thanks for your help!

My D-link router (dir 615) saying is connected but have no internet access

Wired or wireless? Check all cables, have you tried to connect with a Ethernet cable to the ISP modem, if it connects, try connecting via the cable to the D-link. Work you way through the devices one by one.If it connects via the cable, it's the computer's wireless adapter. Will other computers connect? Or contact your ISP to verify the signal, have a tech come out to analyze the signal. It may be outside. It's happened before, to me.

MY WD MY NOTEBOOK IS NOT DETECTING DO WE NEED SOFTWARE TO INSTALL FOR DETECTION

It does have software for it, but it doesn't require it. Try to connect it to another computer, and if it works there, see if that computer has any detection software. When you connect something to an usb port if it says "this device could work faster" do not hesitate to click that button. Try all of your usb ports. If you use a mac try connecting it to a pc.

Wireless USB works, but mouse itself doesn't

Sir/Mam good day,

Is your mouse device also wireless? you need to resync it with it's receiver,
you may follow the methods below to make your wireless usb mouse works.

You need to press the button on your wireless mouse receiver, and make sure that the light on your wireless mouse
receiver blinks. But you need take note that some newer model of microsoft devices are permanently fixed to their receiver
and can't be reset. If your devices don't have a button, here's what to do:

If a dialog box appears on the screen in how many seconds, you need to follow the instructions from it. Or else, you need
to do this:

press and release the connect channel button on your wireless mouse, and make sure that the light from your receiver works
and the status on it's light is steady. If this happens then the synchronization is successfu. But if the problem is still
the same you need to repeat the previous steps once again.

As for the wireless mouse for notebook, this problem come out when the micro switch on the underneath of the mouse was not
released. You can use a pencil or anything with a sharp point to released it.

There are a lot of options why your wireless mouse receiver won't work, and a lot of solutions. Here's some of them:

*Try different ports on your computer, if the connection to some usb ports are not working you can connect to other ports
and see if it will work.

*And also the cables that are included with the wireless receiver, try to use another cables if the
device is still not working.

*If you're device is connected to a usb hub, disconnect it from the usb hub and directly connect it to
the available ports on your pc and see if it will work.

*When fixing this type of problem you need to have only one usb device
connected to your computer, which is in this case, your usb wireless mouse.

*When you have other usb devices, you need to
plug it out.

*If the methods mentioned previously still won't work, you need to reinsert your
wireless mouse batteries or install a new one.

*Another possible remedy to this problem is checking the interference, your wireless
usb mouse together with its receiver should be a distance away from anything that
transmits signals such as cellphones, radios or other similar devices. And also
any metal objects. because such things might interfere with the signal of your
wireless mouse.

* If the problem persists after doing all of the above steps, maybe it's time to update
your wireless mouse drivers, For installing latest driver update with your wireless
mouse, see the documentation that is included in your wireless mouse.

* If all of the methods above did not solve your wireless mouse problem. You can
connect your wireless mouse to another working computer to see whether the problem
lies with your wireless mouse or to the computer which your wireless mouse is
connected.

Final instruction:

If all of these methods fail, you better have your wireless usb mouse be check
by a professional computer technician in order not to further damage your device.

Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless

Experiencing error when connecting to wireless router

I've had this happen before when using a USB wireless device. Is the wireless on your system built in? Or do you connect it to a USB port? The external devices sometimes try to use their own software to configure wireless so you can shut it off and just use the Windows wireless tool. I assume you setup the wireless with a security key and entered that key into your system to try and connect? Let me know if any of that helps and rate the solution if it does!

Can not connect wirelessly with router

The list of wireless routers that are available in Windows is very limited and the signal strength of any router that is detected is weak. This can occur when the Lite-On USB Wireless 802.11 b/g hardware and Windows are not able to fully synchronize the signal strength data. Figure 1: Example of detected wireless devices when the antenna cable wire is connected to secondary port c01153759.jpg Figure 2: Example of detected wireless devices in the same environment when the antenna cable wire is connected to primary port c01153760.jpg To correct this error , download and install Lite-On USB Wireless LAN Driver Update (sp35177) (in English) from the HP Web site. This update should only be applied if your PC has the Lit-On USB Wireless LAN adapter and is exhibiting the symptom. As a work-around, you can connect the wire that runs from the wireless antenna port to the primary port on the cord as follows: CAUTION: This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). To reduce the chance of ESD damage, work over a non-carpeted floor, use a static dissipative work surface (like a conductive foam pad), and wear an ESD wrist strap connected to a grounded surface.
  1. Open the side panel.
  2. Find the wireless networking board by following the antenna wire connected to the wireless networking antenna port on the back of the computer. Figure 3: Wireless networking hardware c01153761.jpg 1 - Wireless network board 2 - Antenna wire 3 - Wireless networking antenna port
  3. Very carefully, disconnect the small wire from the board by gently pulling the end of the wire away from the board.
  4. Connect the wire to the other available port on the board. Figure 4: Available port c01153762.jpg
  5. Replace the side panel, connect the power cord, turn on the computer, and use the computer again to verify that wireless signal strengths have improved.

Belkin (F5D7050) 802.11a/ Wireless Adapter

I just noticed that it is a 802.11a/ . "a" wireless products do not work correctly and you need an "a" router to connect to. The "g" protocol is the most common and reliable.
If it is a new adapter, I would return it and get a 802.11 g adapter, not a USB.. they cost about $20.

Got wireless signal but no internet connection

You can try to power cycle your entire network (refresh).
This often happens when you have a large network.
  1. power down ALL Computers and disconnect the desktop from the D-Link Switch.
  2. turn off all SLAVE AP's first.
  3. Turn off the Master AP and disconnect one end of the Ethernet.
  4. Turn off the D-Link Switch and disconnect one end of the Ethernet.
  5. Now, turn off your modem.
Leave them for about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your urgency.
Turn on and connect all devices in the EXACT order.
  1. Turn on the modem. wait 2 minutes.
  2. Turn on the D-Link Switch and wait 1 minute. Then connect the Ethernet to the MODEM.
  3. Turn on the Master AP and wait 1 minute. Then connect the Ethernet to the D-Link Switch.
  4. Turn ONE of the Slave AP's. Turn on your Laptop. try to connect to the Internet. If successful, Disconnect from the network on the computer and proceed to turn on the rest of the Slave AP's, Laptops, and Desktop. If its NOT successful, power on the Desktop and try to connect to the internet.
  • If the desktop connects to the Internet, Check your D-Link's homepage "192.168.1.1" (default) for any wrong settings. If it does not connect, check your DSL Modem's settings.
If the above does not work, post what you did the day before this happened. Probably something small might have messed with the network.

Are you using the client software that came with the unit? If so, do not use it, use the native windows connection client, just use the drivers only.

Also make sure you have it DIRECTLY connected to your computer and not a hub, it seems to work best this way.

Finally under System Manger, make sure it is connected to a USB 2.0 port.

After connecting to the usb, led lights up, then off, windows does not detect it.

Is the hub you mention, an extension from another usb port only, as the adapter may need to be powered and require a AC/DC powered hub to work.
