Question about Panasonic SC-PTX7 Home Theater System With 80 Gigabyte HArd Drive Theater System

Open Question

Please Wait

When the system starts up, during the "Please Wait" standby phase it becomes locked here and does not respond to any other commands, i have tried unplugging it and waiting then turning it back on however this has failed. I am looking for a solution for this problem, but it seems as if im the only one to encounter this peculiar situation, even though that is highly doubt-able.

SOURCE: Initi..pls wait message

I had a disc jammed in the unit that caused this same error message. If so, remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.

My laptop is Acer and it is showing like "we apologize for the inconvinence, but windows is not starts successfully" and showing some options like safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with...

Here's the step by step on how I fixed this particular problem:
First, boot the computer into safe mode with command prompt. To do this, start the computer, and immediately begin pressing the F8 key at one second intervals. You may have to press several times until the boot menu comes up.
Use your arrow keys to choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt and press enter.
The computer will begin booting. Lots of weird looking white text will scroll by and then the computer will ask you to login or give you a box saying safe mode is running, etc.
Click Ok to finish loading. A black command window will appear with a c: prompt.
At that c: prompt, type chkdsk c:/r and press enter.
Check disk will start to run but then it will say:
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
Type Y for yes, and press enter. Then reboot the computer into normal mode. Chkdsk will start when Windows begins loading again. Let all 5 phases run and don't use or turn off the computer. (The chkdsk process may take an hour or more to finish.)
Chkdsk finds any corrupted files that are causing the problem and fixes them. Read the results of each phase as it finishes. During the final phase, it will notify you if it finds any corrupted files.
When the Check Disk is done, it will finish loading Windows.

How to display Errors found and Repairs made CHKDSK

How to display Errors found and Repairs made by the CHKDSK Command
The Chkdsk command is used to verify the integrity of a file system and is capable of correcting discrepancies in system data files. This command has been with us since DOS days and has been modified by Microsoft as required to meet the requirements of new operating and file systems as they evolved.
If you execute the Chkdsk command from a command prompt without using the F (fix) switch, Chkdsk runs in the read-only mode. As Chkdsk runs its tests on the drive, it displays the results of these tests on the monitor screen and the test results remain there for you to read until you close the CMD box.
However there are several drawbacks to running Chkdsk in the read-only mode, especially on an active NTFS volume (usually C:)
1. Chkdsk cannot make any corrections to the drive while in the read-only mode.
2. If Chkdsk encounters more than minor errors, it will not complete all of its tests.
3. If you are running Chkdsk in the read-only mode on the active partition, Chkdsk frequently reports disk corruption and other file system errors which do not exist. This happens when the system modifies the disk during the Chkdsk testing sequence.
Considering the above, there is little to be gained by running Chkdsk in the read-only mode.
You need to run Chkdsk/F at the command prompt to test the drive and to correct any errors found.. As soon as you make this entry the system responds with:
"The type of file system is NTFS. Cannot lock current drive."
"Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)."
After you key in "Y" (followed by enter) and re-boot, the operating system starts to load and you are advised that a disk check has been scheduled and unless you cancel it, Chkdsk/F will start to run in a few seconds. (Actually the file being executed at this time is Autochk.exe). Chkdsk will run through its phases but it only displays the test results on the monitor screen for about 2 seconds before the screen clears and the operating system continues to load!
If problems were found wiith the file system, you will not have time to read any messages regarding what they were or what actions were taken. If corrupted files and/or orphaned files/directories were detected you would most probably like to know about it and other problems found by Chkdsk. So how do you display the errors found and actions taken?
The answer is that since running Chkdsk/F is a system event, the information is recorded in the System Event Log under application events. To read the log, Click on Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer and Application. Look for "Winlogon" in the Source column and double click on it. An Event Properties dialog box will open and display the log for you to read..

What are the probable causes of DTC P2444?

Hello Please read this carefully. This info directly relates to the code you are having. I will include a troubleshooting tree at the bottom. If there are any other codes or if you need further info please let me know:

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The secondary air injection (AIR) system aids in the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions during a cold start. The system forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalyst operation. An electric air pump, the AIR pump, provides filtered air on demand to the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. The AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly controls the flow of air from the AIR pump to the exhaust manifold. The AIR valve relay supplies the current needed to operate the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. A pressure sensor is used to monitor the air flow from the AIR pump. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies the internal pressure sensor with a 5-volt reference, an electrical ground, and a signal circuit.

The AIR diagnostic uses 3 phases to test the AIR system:
  • DTCs P0411 and P2430 run during Phase 1
  • DTCs P2430 and P2440 run during Phase 2
  • DTC P2444 runs during Phase 3
In all 3 phases, testing is accomplished by comparing the measured pressure against the expected pressure. The PCM can detect faults in the AIR pump, AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly, and the exhaust check valve. The pressure sensor can also detect leaks and restrictions in the secondary AIR system plumbing.

The DTC P2444 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump is Stuck ON diagnostic monitors the system pressure signal during test phase 3. When the PCM determines the AIR pressure sensor signal is higher than expected, DTC P2444 sets.

DTC DESCRIPTOR
This diagnostic supports the following DTC:
  • DTC P2444 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Pump Stuck On
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
  • DTCs P0101, P0102, P0103, P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P0205, P0206, P0300, P0350, P0411, P0412, P0418, P0420, P0606, P0641, P0651, P1350, P2430, P2431, P2432, P2433, P2440 are not set.
  • The system voltage is between 10-18 volts .
  • The engine is running.
  • The start-up engine coolant temperature (ECT) parameter is between 5-50°C (41-122°F) .
  • The start-up intake air temperature (IAT) parameter is between 5-60°C (41-140°F) .
  • The BARO parameter is more than 60 kPa .
  • The MAF sensor parameter is between 3-24 g/s .
  • DTC P2444 runs once per trip start-up when the above conditions are met and the AIR pump operation is requested.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The measured AIR pressure is more than expected during AIR pump Phase 3 operation. DTC P2444 sets within 5 seconds when the above conditions are met.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
  • The PCM illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) during the first key cycle in which the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) sets.
  • The PCM records the operating conditions at the time the diagnostic fails. This information is stored in the Freeze Frame buffer.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
  • The PCM turns OFF the MIL on the third consecutive trip cycle during which the diagnostic has been run and the fault condition is no longer present.
  • A DTC will clear after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles have occurred without a fault.
  • A DTC can be cleared by using the scan tool Clear Information function.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS

Inspect for any of the following conditions:
  • The resistance of the AIR pump relay coil (across terminal 85 and terminal 86) is 50-70 ohms at 20°C (68°F) . In the normal unenergized state, the resistance of the open relay contacts (across terminal 30 and terminal 87) is infinite.
  • The AIR pump relays electrical contacts may be pitted and sticking. Replace the relay if tapping gently on the relay or wiggling the relay causes a change in the relays operation.
  • The performance of the AIR pump relay may be affected by temperature. Check the relay after sitting outside overnight and after running the engine 30 minutes .
  • An intermittent malfunction may be caused by a fault in an AIR system electrical circuit. Inspect the wiring harness and components for an intermittent condition.

21812371-jq13pypi3egybe0aho3o0ljx-4-0.gif

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
  1. This step tests for the correct operation of the AIR pump. When the AIR pump relay is commanded ON with the scan tool, only the AIR pump relay is energized. When the AIR valve relay is commanded ON with the scan tool, both the AIR pump and the AIR valve relays are energized.
  2. This step tests for the correct operation of the AIR pump relay.

HI
ollow the steps:-

Remote access away from home:

You can operate your answering system from a remote location using any touchtone telephone.
1) Call your telephone number and wait for the system to answer. If the answering system is off, it will answer after about 10 rings and sounds a series of beeps.
2) During the greeting message (or a series of beeps when the answering system is off), press 0 and enter your PIN code within 2 seconds.
3) The answering system announces the current time and the number of messages stored in memory. You hear "To play incoming messages, press zero-two. For help, press one-zero." You will hear a beep.
4) Enter a command within 15 seconds, each command there after must be entered within 2 seconds

You may select a command from the following chart:

I just received an alienware m17x labtop and it worked perfectly until something happened and now the alien sense won't work it, on the bottom right corner where it displays the icons, the aliensense icon...

This message is typically displayed when you log in without the blue "Alien Head" outline around your face (you could have been looking way down at your hands when you typed your password or were out of view for some other reason). In other words for some reason the software couldn't see your face so it's reverting to locking the desktop using any screensaver settings that you have in place.

Simply log out of or lock the desktop and log back in again with the blue outline clearly visible to return AlienSense to normal functionality.
