A lot of companies are using 2 ohm speakers for stock speakers. This means they are more efficient (sounds strange that a stock speaker is efficient). The stock amp may not be able to put enough power out for these to sound good. You may end up needing a new system.
You will need a wiring harness, the head unit, and instructions. Visit www.sound-repair.com to see if they have the instructions there. You can also go to www.crutchfied.com and purchase items and instructions there. Hope this helps
I wouldnt worry about the dash speakers. Leave them in there and Pod out your doors. They are hidden in the dash if I am not mistaken. I know with Jeeps its hard to install speakers in the dorr as they are so shallow. Use big back fill, to compensate for no sound in front, or buy some Kenwood 3 ways, they are the shallowist you can get. You will still have to pod the door though.
