Question about Intel Motherboard

CPU fan switching on and off repeatedly, computer not switchingon

Hello,I have a desktop with an Intel DP965LT motherboard. Usually when I switch on the PSU, the fans turn on momentarily and then turn back off again. Recently this motherboard died and I got a replacement from Intel. Now when I have put the computer back together, the fans keep on swtching and on and off, I get short static like sounds when they do and the computer doesn't respond to the cabinet's power on signal so the computer doesn't boot. Why do the fans turn on momentarily in the first place and what could be the reason for what's happening now? I have Intel Conroe 1.86 GHZ CPU and Antec 550W PSU

. Please help me

    Hi,
this PSU worked fine with my MSI motherboard for AMD AM2 processor. This second motherboard doesn't switch on momentarily when the PSU to which it is connected is switched on.
I later connected the motherbaord in question to a spare cheap PSU I had. After a few starts, it now seems to have died again. This doesn't even power on anymore when the power switch is turned on.
Maybe the motherboard was faulty or probably my entire power infrastructure is a mess.

Check the power supply switch of your cpu casing, make sure that it will not stuck when you switch on the power.

Trying to find heatsink unit to be able to use the board

Hello here is the intel homepage:

Your mainboard is using the LGA 775 socket.

The heatsink fan looks like this:

9052cc16-4df4-4990-9e9f-1af87b0870b5.jpg

The fan can still be bought in a computer store, online shop or a repair shop.

I will recommend to but a better fan, like the brand northq, because the standard fan is difficult to mount correctly on the mainboard.

Remember to add a bit of cooling paste on the cpu, before you mount the fan.

Good luck

My computer switch off itself within a minute

Hello here are the intel site:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng

Or visit the pc`s homepage for more info.

Is it a laptop or a desktop ????

If it is a laptop, the cooling fan is probably blocked by dirt = overheating.

If it is a desktop, blow the pc out for dust.
Open the case, and look for the cpu fan is spinning, when you press the power button
Try also to renew the power supply.

A pc repair shop, can help you get the pc running again.

Good luck

Any abnormal beeps at startup ???

http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

The problem could be a ram module failing, or the graphic card if installed on the mainboard.
Or a short circuit somewhere.

Look also here:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/243625-13-turns-wont-boot

Try starting with only 1 stick of Ram, the monitor and the keyboard connected, no other USBs to be connected.

Look also for bad caps on the mainboard:

If they look like this, the mainboard is dead.
It does not pay, to let them be changed.

Good luck

When I try to install my Intel DP965LT, an error E0441203 appears.. What can I do to fix this problem? Thank you very much!

Download (as in Save, not Run) the installers for the latest versions of all your drivers directly from Intel (using another pc of course if you don't have the network working), then install them.
