Question about Rinnai Heating & Cooling
Lately my Glo-ray heater won't stay lit. This morning after a few attempts I got it working but had to turn it off. Later I try to get the pilot light lit to get the heater going but after a minute it would go off and now it won't stay lit.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

It seems that your heater is not sensing the flame is lit and is shutting gas supply off. There should be what is called a flame sensor, it is a thin pc. of metal that sticks out into where the flame when lit.
This usually gets charred and dirty, if you unscrew it and clean it with a soft cloth then re-insert it, it will get you by. You should get a new sensor when you have a chance.
Good luck and be sure to disconnect from any power source or turn unit completely off when orking on it.

SOURCE: I have a glo warm
haven't had much to do with heater brand but have with pilots it sounds like the thermocouple is either not tightened into valve properly or that it needs replaceing they will burn out over time and usually just a simple replace will fix but you must call service agent if you are not yourself to do this for you as it may be the valve itself which means replaceing that which you must be quakified gas fitter to do even the thermocouple should be done by a competent person as it is a gas heater!

SOURCE: how do you light the
Without pushing in the knob, turn knob to "IGN" position, THEN press and hold in knob while in that position, repeatedly press "Ignitor" button. (If it's the first time you've lit it, it may take up to 5 minutes of doing this to get the gas line supply full enough to light the pilot.) After the pilot is lit, continue to hold in "IGN" button for 10 seconds, then release, then you should be good to go.
