I drained the hose and found the water coming out just fine but when I turn the knob to spin it has a buzz sound

It sounds like the water pump. Does it circulate water when it's agitating?

I have had the same problem. Someone told me to clean the pump filter. I have a front loader and the pump filter is in a little door down the front of the washing machine. You turn the thing in there counter clockwise (water may cascade out - keep bucket handy) then clean flint/soap out of the filter.
This didn't work for my washing machine however, so if anyone has any ideas (ie. how do you actually check if the hose from the washer to the sink is blocked - mine doesn't detach) would be most appreciated

Hi i have a SIMPSON ESPRIT 600 TOP LOADER WASHING MACHINE. The wash cycle works fine however during the drain and spin cycle, the water wont drain. The machine makes a noise during the drain cycle but...

My guess would be replace the pump, it is normally driven by the motor and if the wash cycle is good the motor is operational. You have to investigate to find the actual part to replace.

Roper washer leaks when filling

It's in the drain hose somewhere, during the fill the water gets as deep in the drain hose as it does in the washer, during the wash the pump runs in reverse keeping the water level in the hose low, during the drain the hose is filled again.
Prop the washer up in front on a couple bricks or boards, start putting in water until it starts to leak and take a peak under the machine.

Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

you have the drain pipe too low into tthe house drain pipe, raise the washers drain pipe up , you only need four inches down into the hous drain

also the house drain pipe needs to be as high as the lid of the machine before you put the washer drain tube into the house drain

you have a syphoning effect

Washing machine not draining, not occuring on every cycle. The "F2" code flashes during the cycle. "F2" indicates a drain problem. Is this the control panel or the motor that pumps out the water?

Possible your outlet filer is blocked, clean this out and refit. Refer to manual; the outlet filter requires periodic cleaning according to your usage; things shd be fine...
