SOURCE: does the bush AE6BFS

Generally speaking, a single oven can be used from a normal 13 amp socket.
If you are not sure, check the power used by the oven on the rating plate, as long as it does not exceed 3kw, then itt is o/k to use from socket.
If more than 3kw, then it will need to be hard wired.

The fan could be greasy and "stuck", you'd have to take it out to check.

Unfortunately replacement fans are quite expensive:

Does the red light on the bush ae6bfs stay on all the time?

Hi
I had a look at the manual which I found here:
http://argos.scene7.com/is/content/Argos/4894827_R_D001pdf
and I don't think that the red light should be on all the time, depending upon the positioning of the function switches - see pages 9 & 10. You may wish to check the manual more thoroughly than I have to confirm this.
Cheers

I have a Bush AE56DA electric oven, the main oven has stopped heating up. Also the oven light and thermostat light have stopped working. Everything else works fine. Any idea's? Thanks.

This sounds like a regulator problem, now there are the switch or a built in behind the cooker. WARNING DO NOT OPEN ANY PART OF THE OVEN ISOLATE THE MAINS FIRST.
You will need a tester, multi-meter would do. check the switch for continuity check the heating element there may be a hole in it, its very difficult to see slight Gray Colour just at the hole, find and inspect the fan motor if there is no continuity after disconnection of wiring between the winding terminals, on most models you have to remove the fan before you can inspect the heating element, but there are a few the other way round. Hope this is helpful .

Regards
John

Replace fan motor in an electric fan oven

1, If the fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Main fan oven not heating

If the light and the fan are working then it is the heating element that has failed. You need to replace it.

Its not a difficult job but you have to take the back off the oven. The heating element is usually in a circular shape around the fan housing.

You have to disconnect the wires to the heater and remove the retaining screws, fit the new heater and reconnect. Remember to switch off the power before starting work
