Take it apart, clean it, lub the ball on the linkage, then reinstall it. If that is not the problem try ajusting the lift rod linkage where it connects together.

IF you did not drain the fuel or use a fuel stabilizer AND the fuel had ethanol in it, you may have water issues from being stored. There could be valve damage.

Water from washer in bathtub

Either your drain when plumbed wasn't installed with a y that allows smooth flow past the tub... or it bottle necks too much and needs the over flow to get down the drain. Or the drain size should be enlarged to 2 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch. If the existing drain is galvanized then it narrows with age. The drain lines may not have enough lean and have deposits on the bottom that need a plumber with a root cutter bit on an electric eel to get removed. (rental eels are just not good enough). Also is this drain vented properly to allow the air to move aside so as to allow the water to run down smooth?

Pop up sink basin wont stay down to allow water to stay in basin

I'm assuming this is a mechanical pop up drain. If so then one of three things are happening. Either the pop up mechanism needs to be adjusted, there is build up inside the drain where the stopper is or the mechanical parts are worn and need to be replaced.

Remove the items from underneath your vanity so that you have room to work. Under the vanity the pop up will have an adjustment rod. It is possible that the adjustment has slipped resulting in the drain not closing off properly. Try adjusting the connecting rod and see if that helps. If not move on to the next step.

You will need a small pail to catch any water when you disassemble the pop up. Inside the sink put something under the stopper to hold it in an open position because when you disassemble the pop up it will drop to the closed position and may be difficult to get out of the drain. Under the sink there will be rod coming out of the drain held on with a threaded nut. Unscrew the nut and the rod will come out of the drain and deattach from the pop up inside the drain. From the top of the sink remove the stopper. Clear any of the build up which is usually a distasteful combination of hair and soap scum. A pair of latex gloves come in handy at this point. Check the pop up for wear at the point where the rod attaches. It is possible that this could be worn to the point of not working correctly when the mechanics of the pop up are moved to the closed position. Your local hardware store will have any replacement parts required.

Be sure to reassemble every component before using the sink and test for leaks. Good luck with your project.

2003 rondezvous stuck in reverse. so put it in emergency brake and turned off engine in driveway. the gearshift moves up and down but it never goes out of reverse. when moving the gearshift forward it goes...

the linkage might have popped off the tranny must of those are on a ball socket, if you open the hood and find the cable that goes to the transmission. and you will most likly find that it popped off. if you have someone in the car when you are ready to pop it back on have them move the shifter until in the right spot and then push it back on. if it keeps poping off you will have to replace the cable.

Just bought a new diesel dz 7069 watch and theres no battery, but i cant figure out how to open it to put a battery in. Any suggestions?

Generally Diesel uses a pop off back. The pop off back will be smooth and have no indication of how to come off.

To remove a pop off back use a watch knife and press it straight into the separation between the case and back. Start at the upper right corner. Do not use a sharp knife or widdle back and forth as this may damage the surface where the seal is or make burrs. Once you have driven the knife straight in you can move around the back repeating this until the back is completely off.

Pops out of gear it's a 5 speed 1.8L went driving shift smooths but then pops out. is it the clutch? or is the tranny blowin ?

Sometimes spray lube on linkages & bushings down at the transmission & at areas where you see movement during shifting, will cure that, otherwise you may need some new bushings at certain areas. Have someone move shifter while you observe different pivot points for too much slop. (movement)

Briggs +stratton lawn-mower engine type 0170-01

hold the engine in one hand and take a small hammer and tap the crankshaft nose on the flywheel side with the nut removed. the inertia of the flywheel and the rest of the engine moving should pop it right off. if the engine is still on the mower, drain the oil first.

I installed a new sink and pop up drain assembly. But the drain drains very slow because the stopper does not go high enough. I have tried adjusting the pop up assembly.

make sure that the piece going in to the drain that moves your stopper up and down is all the way in the hole on the bottom of the stopper once that is in hold the rod down so your stop is up then attach it to the piece attached to your rod this should solve your problem good luck

Drain pop-up funnction not working

The stopper portion of the drain should have an adjustable threaded leg with a small nut to secure the setting after you have adjusted its lenght to open and close the drain. Make sure you adjust the lenght to the highest setting for better drainage. The linkage must be connected and tight between the vertical lift rod and the horizontal rod that enters the drain to make the stopper move up and down.
