Printer message showing "unable to clean - refer to manual". I can't find any solution to this problem. This just showed up one day. Message is there constantly. Printer has hardly been used although, typically it is out of guarantee by a few days!
Contact brother and ask them if they will change the waistinktank (which has to be replaced by a new one) though your are near the edge of guarantee. Actually bother is very kind of doing so.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have exactly the same problem ! I can't find any help to it so... I don't now what to do.
Switched on printer which proceeded to go through its "nozzle clean" procedure, Instead of doing so it just came up with the error message "Unable to clean - refer to maintenance section of Guide book". Guide book just says problem is mechanical or paper jamming. If neither apparent it says reset by switching off machine for a few minutes. If neither of these things work then consult a Brother dealer. Nothing works with mine.
