My Frigidaire Front Loader is really driving my poor Hubby crazy! At first it started out ineffectively spinning... Draining seemed okay but not as effective. Now it does not seem to drain at all, but it makes the draining noises!?!? The belt is tight and there was a small amount of water under the tub when my husband opened the back to explore. Our 5 children are running out of clean clothes! HELP!!
There are two possible causes here. One is that the pump is either defective or clogged. The other is that the spin control board is defective. If the pump has a multi-fan wheel on the front of it, see if it is spinning during the drain mode. If it does not, it could be clogged. Remove hose and you will most likely find something in the housing. (rubber backing from a bath mat, bra underwire etc.) Once you get the pump functional and the unit still does not spin, go to the spin control board.
Hello - First, does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Also try to rotate the drum manually (when it is not in use) and see if you notice a bumping sound as well. If you do, then the drum is not balanced and probably the bearing and pulley system behind the drum will need repairing. You may need to reset the unit at the household circuit breaker for a few minutes to create a hard reset within the unit. Then retry. If it proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately. Washer may be experiencing an issue with a faulty door lock, timer, pump or control board not communicating correctly.

Solved! Pulled the bottom front panel off and unattached the black rubber "thing" and found a SOCK at the opening. There was also a nice collection of change and even a key at the bottom of the rubber thing. Spinning and draining like it is supposed to now! Thanks for the help! I guess with 5 children I should be more careful about the change... Still would have never thought that a Mans SOCK would get through to that part! That was actually fun finding that sock and figuring out how to get to it...
Any tricks to getting the clamps of the hoses to clean them out? I am not having much luck and my husband is legally blind and no help at all.
Please help, two week wait for repair!!! After the wash cycle, the machine starts to drain, stops, starts to drain, and continues like this until it kicks off, and doesn't fully drain. I checked the drain pipe and all appears fine. Any ideas regarding the machine. Thanks.....
