Question about Sony KP-65WS500 65" Rear Projection Television
THe lamp flashes 6 times signifying overcurrent or overvoltage. I downloaded service manual but am missing pages showing A and B boards. Have you encountered this problem before?I do have electrical experience and would like to trouble shoot it if I could. Can you help me?
First of all, the 6 blinks indicate a loss of 5V on the A board. The most common cause is a defective deflection yoke. This is not a repair that should be attempted by a novice because of the procedure required to locate the defect. Please get a detailed estimate from a local servicer. An improper attempt to locate the defect can easily cause additional damage.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is one case where a professional should be used.
