Its best to use the newest version of MoonShell.
Theres a 2.0 version out that I think still works for R4s.

Still, it may be your format.
Use the DPG tools and format the file again.
Also try formating the video to something easier to convert, like say, a basic AVI file.
Then convert that into a DPG and see if that works.

I have some problems with my ds lite (details below please help)

it would be the best to download a new copy of the moonshell and the R4 kernal. copy everything one R4 to a folder so you dont loose anything, and paste the freshly downloaded files to the card and re add the ROMS and see what happens.

I bought a ra(ndsl/nds ) for my ds lite and

Mine works fine!!
Download English 1.18 from the R4 website.
Unzip
You should have 4 files on your card
_system_
moonshell
_DS_MENU_DAT
_DS_MSH_NDS
you then add the .nds game files from wherever you get them from
Make sure the card is formatted first, ie there are no other files on it. try FAT. rather than FAT 32. I can't remember which but I've had no problems with either the card or the software, best thing since sliced bread, and it only cost me a tenner.

Nitendo DS lite how to play music using R4 revolution DS on my

First you need to make sure you have the current firmware for the R4 card loaded onto the micro-sd card. I know that some R4 cards only accept up to a 2gb memory card so check and make sure you are using the correct micro card with the R4. When you have downloaded the firmware for your card you need to make some folders. Label them games...movies... music... etc.. making a folder for each one. Put the Mp3 files in the correct folder. When you use your R4 you will see three icons at the startup screen go to the one labeled multi-media... Moonshell will run the movies/music... you are ready to go ... hope this helps

.Whats the use of r4 and micro sd in Nintendo dsi Lite?

you can play saved Roms without using the original game cartridge. Also you can load homebrew apps on it (Moonshell). With these apps you can transform your NDS into a multi-media player....(Movies,Mp3's, etc.). You will need some software to convert the movies to a format (dpg) to view them. I have a Nintendo lite, I would assume that all the flash carts would be similar for the Dsi. You might want to check the compatability of them with the Dsi.

Ds lite will not play video files

Hi George,

Firstly may i suggest you put R4 firmware 1.18 on the micro sd card as it is much more stable (link: http://www.r4dscart.com/r4-software.html).

The moonshell you are using should be correct however, i am comfused by the .dpgm1v extension as i have only ever used files with the .dpg extension.

Have you tried downloading a .dpg movie and trying that in moonshell? Just a suggestion.

Please let me know how you get on. Will be happy to assist further if needed.

Good luck,

Karlos

Kernal 1.24 wont load on my r4ds card

Don't bother with Kernel v1.24 i use kernel v1.18 downlad from http://www.r4ds.cn/download/r4ds.html and click on the "R4 V1.18 kernel (English/French/Korean)" un compress with Winrar and put on SD/TF card (delete any previous kernels you may have.

Will also need the "Moonshell 1.71 for R4" on same page as kernel v1.18 just scroll down a little lower.

Get a free account on romulation.net and download whatever games you want

Happy playing.
