Question about Televison & Video
I have a Toshiba 40WH08B back projection TV. A recent problem has developed in that when I turn the TV on, a protection circuit cuts in and turns the set off. Red power light stays on and the green timer light flashes. I have found that if I remove the connector marked red from the board with the 2 large heat sinks, the TV will turn on but with obvious visual defects due to the lack of the red gun operating. If I then turn off and plug back the removed connector, the TV will work fine for a day or two before the problem returns. Any Help would be much appreciated. I have the service manual. Regards Kelvin Harley
Protection circuits usually cut in when you have power supply issues and too much current. U might want to start checking out your power supply for bad components.
