Hi there,

To make sure that all the computer settings are correct, you need to protect specially the programs files. And the best way to do it is to install a Deep Freeze on your program drive which is the C: so in case anything will get accidentally deleted, you will not worry about it because it will just get restored after a reboot. Also, if you are not that savvy enough then you need to avoid hitting format and delete.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Aires

Get into setup, usually by pushing F1 or such while the computer is booting. Once there, navigate to a place where you can select to use 'default settings'. Save and exit. The computer will finish booting with the settings it came from the factory with.

Not rebooting

Okay, each OS has it\'s own problems when it comes to this. In most cases it\'s not rebooting (presumably you\'re clicking the "restart" button in windows or reset function in the Mac OSX "xx"). First check to make sure that no software is stopping the process of rebooting. Most often software updates may order the computer to do something that you\'re not expecting, either stalling or even stopping a proper reboot as the new updates are installing. This is especially true of Mac OSX which will update the computer automatically without telling you and then not completely install them until the computer is restarted from a total shut down. The process may produce a blank screen while the updates are installed.

If this is the case you\'ll hear HDD spin up or see the HDD in use light flash (with both SSDs and HDDs). Don\'t interrupt this process or you\'ll create more headaches. Now if it stalls, restart. You\'ll know it\'s stalled because the HDD light will stall and not flash any longer.

If this isn\'t the issue, run diagnostics on your computer. Install and run CCleaner if you can. If it\'s a window\'s computer start up the computer and hit either Tab, F2, F10, or F11, and on the rare occasion Escape to get into the bios and confirm that the hard drives are recognized, the boot order is correct, and that he correct power and control settings are in place. If you can\'t do even that turn on the computer and check to make sure no media is trying to boot. Remove all peripherals from the computer; like CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disks that may be in the optical drive, USB thumb drives and connected external hard drives, any usb connected phones. If you have a non-OS hard drive connected remove it too. Then try to boot. If it then boots you know that either one of the peripherals were interfering with the boot process or that the computer was trying to read from the wrong hard drive which has be set as primary.

If none of these steps solve the issue, start with hardware; check for correctly seated connections, RAM, cables, etc. Look for damaged ribbon, heat damage on the motherboard. Check the power supply. Flash the bios by removing the CMOS battery for a day and then replacing it and restarting the computer.

Check that the hard drives are working and not damaged or faulty. This can be done by connecting it to other computers.

Attempt to start the computer with another medium, like a live CD or USB of Ubuntu.

If the live CD or USB boots, then you can safely assume it\'s a peripheral or hard drive, and not the power supply, ram, or main board.

Lastly, always check the simplest things first. Make sure that the computer is plugged in. Make sure that the monitor hasn\'t been connected to the wrong video output. Make sure the monitor is plugged in and working and on when you start the computer.

There is the best answer I can give you.

03 mazda 6 2.3. timing was over ******, reset timing and doesn't run. have good compression, have spark and gas but doesn't start.please help

If you have spark and fuel and compression and the timing is correct like you said, it will run. One or more of these things is not correct. Proper diagnosis will find out which one(s). The ignition timing is not adjustable on the 2003 2.3L engine, so I sure don't know what you reset???

The place to start would be to scan your Engine Control Module (ECM) for fault codes.

I don"t hear any sound from my speaker i connected to my pc all my setting are correct

hi
I read your problem.
your problem is that you don't hear any sound from your speaker when you connect to your pc and you also say your setting are correct.
but again you check your setting in my way
  1. Go to control panel
  2. than go in your sound option
  3. than check your speaker wire pin is connected properly if not than connect it properly
  4. is your computer show your speaker are connected properly
  5. than there is a option to test or check your speaker means it when you click your left speaker create sound than right
  6. if you hear sound means it is correct or your hear only one side than check your volume option
  7. if you don't hear any sound it means your speaker is dead. And also connect nearby computer shop.

Notebook power problem

Good evening Arapa, Before I went any further I?d make sure the new A/C adaptor and battery are working correctly. Over the years I?ve had many brand new or refurbish parts wind up not working. Also verify that they are the correct ones for your laptop. The next candidate is the charging circuitry or power distribution in the laptop. Since it involves major disassembly I don?t usually recommend this option to the typical user unless they have experience working with and handling electronics, a good mechanical aptitude and are willing to live with the results of damaging the laptop beyond economic repair. Most times a local factory authorized and trained tech can give you a good estimate of what it will cost and save you the cost of buying test parts you may not need. SCSI and IDE HDs, can they work together?

This next solution is viable in win 98, and I don?t see any reason why it shouldn?t work for you too. If you know of anything I?m missing you should consult someone else. The solution is slightly complex, so I hope I can explain it properly: 1. Create a startup disk so you can format and install windows. 2. Set the new HD as master and connect it to Primary IDE. 3. Disconnect the SCSI and remove it. 4. Restart the computer with the disk you created (with the new HD connected). 5. Go to the Bios settings in order to make sure that the computer does recognize the new HD as the primary drive in the first IDE. 6. Now, FDisk the new HD, set the partitions, restart and format it. Install the OS and make sure it is working properly. 7. Insert the SCSI and restart again. 8. At this stage the computer would reboot into the IDE and see the SCSI/ You may have to change something in the OS settings for that, but I don?t know where. Good luck.
