There a chance your machine recorded too many messages, which actually means, the memory is full and should be cleaned / wiped. Check the manual or download it here and see for page 5 at subtitle deleting messages.
Hi. That is a not uncommon problem with some fax and answering machines. It can happen for a variety of reasons but maily because the caller speaks too softly, or there is some noise on the line.
The only way to make sure it does not happen, switch the answering mode to a fixed time. Settings vary, but it can be as long as a minute or longer. This way the machine will keep recording regardles of wether there is anyone talking or not.
To record a message, hold the ANNC button and follow the prompts.Yours also looks similar to mine.If there is a Clock button, hold it down to open the options menu.Use the button on each side of the bottom middle button to change the number. When that option is good, press the clock button again and change with the same buttons. When you get to the end,it should auto read everything you set.If anything is not as I mentioned, please comment here with all your button labels and I will reply ASAP.Greg
The only thing I can think of is that there is a switch which determines recording time, there was on mine and then there was the VOX option which only recorded as long as they were speaking and cut them off if they didn't talk quickly. You might check and see if somehow they got turned on.
Make sure answer machine function is turned on. Bottom right button.
Make sure an outgoing message is set. Should see a <-> arrow in the display screen. If not, press the <-> button. To record outgoing message... the press the middle button; record out going message; press middle button. Wait a few seconds and you should be set. Hope this helps
