Invion 4V106 w/ Destinator 8 - can't acquire satelite

You can upgrade your Invion GPS-3V906 by going to the following website, http://www.invionusa.com/gps+support.html. You will find a GPS upgrade program on this webpage. Just follow the links for your specific product and you will be good to go.

Then the unit is defective and must be returned to the manufacturer for repair. No parts or service information is released to the user, only factory or factory approved repair centers can fix the problem.

my sims card does not work when putting in the invion 4v106 it shows on the screen that is should be incerted when it always is in the invion

It is not a matter of just copying the GPs map program to the card. You have somehow deleted the Invion Formatting back to Windows CE.

Special programs are used to get the invion program written into WinCE and then to apply the Icons specific to your GPS like PHOTOS and VIDEO etc.

These programs are installed using the reset and on buttons to get them to boot much like haveing a CD boot up other than the HDD The process of reinstating these to get the maps on and working is about 45 minutes and then the maps can be loaded. At $120 an hour the $40 fee is cheap, so if you want your GPS to work i would take up the offer

try using the settings and get to satellite then select autosearch It is possible your BAUD and PORT are not set correctly

you need to go outside in an open area with no trees around and turn the garmin on untill it receives a sat connection it can take several minutes for it to find it

Depends on where you have the unit mounted. If in the front of a windshield, it should acquire one. If you are having problems, what is the software version? If your unit is less than version 6.5, update.

To check version, click on wrench (tools), system, about.

To update, load USB drivers (if not already done), connect Garmin, turn Garmin on, run webupdater, follow on screen prompts.
