the WiFi isn't on if it's orange press that key and it will turn blue when it is on..with the battery take it out , count 20 seconds then put it back in and it should work
Your laptop has a "card" that provides this service. If it has never worked then the card is not installed. If it just stopped working then maybe the card has gotton loose or wet etc...
Anything else needs a hands-on repair....
If the problem is there both wired and wireless, the problem is then narrowed to your computer's modem/nic device. Speak with a Laptop repair tech about replacing this bit of hardware. When did you lose connection with Internet? Recently or long ago?
check if drivers are installed..
if drivers are installed then
go to control panel and network connection if xp then right click on wireless network connection and disable and then enabe it..if this solve problem... otherwise check for drivers..
in very laptop there is a switch button that determines if your wlan is on or off.
Try finding it and switch it to On.

well, it is common some of the drivers you had for vista will not work with xp need to try driver dective if that don't work I would say if you won't it to work correlty try reinstalling vista
hi , r u using win xp or vista, if u r using win xp , then its one of the compatiblity issue of this notebook with win xp. wifi will work but the led will always be red.
