SOURCE: What does PE mean on my LG washing machine

Check the pressure switch -the system that determines correct water level in the drum. If its giving an incorrect indication to the program timer machine will either overfill, refuse to fill or refuse to spin. Its an air operated diaphragm switch triggered by rising air pressure induced by the entry of water into an airtight vessel attached to the base of the drum. It tells the program timer that the water has reached the correct level, allowing it to proceed to the water heating stage in the cycle.

Power off, drag machine out onto the floor, remove back cover and top cover. The pressure switch is a round item about 3 inches across with several wires and a thin rubber pipe attached. It generally sits just under the top cover. Disconnect the thin rubber pipe from the switch and blow down through it to clear any blockage.

Switch itself may be faulty but its more likely the pressure pipe or the vessel attached to the other end of the pipe is blocked. Some machines have the pressure vessel integrated as part of the filter unit, with a pressure chamber moulded into the top of the filter body. Remove the pressure vessel, put a small nut or screw in it, fill it with water and shake vigorously till any crud or residue is removed. Refit all parts, check that joints and connections are water tight.

Also check the filter itself - generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine. Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine. Once panel is removed the filter should be visible. Its generally a circular plastic fitting which unscrews in an anticlockwise direction.
Some hotpoint, indesit and ariston filters are located in the big black sump hose (the one that leaves the bottom of the outer drum and connects to the pump). Power off, drag machine out onto the floor, remove back cover or tip machine up at an angle. Locate sump hose, remove the tensioner clip by squeezing the tabs together with a large pair of pliers or vise grips, remove the hose, take out filter and clean. Be prepared for spillage of water. May help if the machine is tilted backwards at an angle.

SOURCE: "FE" Error code on Lg Washer #2277HB

FE means overflow condition. That means sand or trash has gotten into the tube going from tub to water level switch. So find that hose and blow it out. Remove the standing water and retry.

SOURCE: My LG Turbo-Drum Top washing

Hi, this is an Electrical Error. The error code "PE" stands for pressure sensor error. This is typically caused by a malfunctioning sensor switch which needs to be changed.

Lg wf-t1022tp gives a PE error code.

Try this first before replacing any parts or disassembling your LG washer:
- Unplug the washing machine for 1 minute.
- Plug the washing machine back into power.
- Restart the wash cycle.
- The washing machine may now have cleared the PE error code, if not see below...

You will need to check the wiring harness that connects the water level pressure sensor to the main control board.
- Check for a loose wire harness, a damaged wire harness, or a burnt faulty wire.
- Check that you get continuity through the wire harness by checking it with a multimeter.
- If the wire harness from the water level pressure sensor to the main control board is found to be faulty, replace it.
- If you get continuity and the wiring harness is securely connected to both the water level pressure sensor and the main control board, then proceed to the step below...

LG WASHER PE ERROR CODE - FIX METHOD #2
Water Level Pressure Sensor Switch Is Faulty And Needs To Be Cleaned Or Removed And Replaced.
Most commonly, if the wire harness is secure, tight, and not damaged, the part that needs to be checked is the water level pressure sensor.

- If the water level pressure sensor is not clean, the PE error can display.
- Remove the water level pressure sensor from your LG washer and clean off any hard water or debris.
- Clean out the tube that connects to the
- If you found the water level pressure sensor was caked with debris and you have cleaned it, replace it back into the washer and run a test.
- If the washer runs without the PE error code displaying, the washer is fixed and the PE error has been cleared.
- If you find that the water level pressure sensor is faulty, remove it and replace with a new OEM part.

Replacing the water level pressure sensor simply involves locating the sensor in your LG washer. Remove it from the washer and replace it with a new genuine LG washer part. Test washer to be sure the PE error code has cleared and the washer is now working properly

What dose PE MEAN

The PE error or fault code indicates that the machine is overfilling with water. This washer is equipped with a water level pressure switch. As the machine fills, the pressure increases on the switch, at the set pressure, the switch cuts power to the water inlet valve and the water stops flowing into the washer. If the pressure switch fails to sense properly, or the water inlet valve fails to shut off the unit can overfill. This situation can also be caused if the machine does not drain properly. First, check to see if water ever enters the machine when it is turned off. If so, replace the water inlet valve. Next, check the drain line to be sure it's not clogged or kinked. Next, check to see if the drain pump is working properly and removing the water from the previous cycle. If all of those check out, you may need to replace the pressure switch.

My Lg problem is FE?What Ihave to do?

zjlimited_1817.jpg

Turn the water taps clockwise to close them and unplug the washer if "FE" or "PE" appears on the display. The "FE" error means the water valve is faulty and the washer is overfilling. "PE" means the water level sensor is faulty.

Hope helps.

I have an LG Senseclean and th FE code was showing and water level was higher than normal. Now PE code is showing and washer wont function at all?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
LG's 'FE' stands for 'overFlow Error' (or Flood Error is how I remember it!) and 'PE' for '(water) Pressure Error'.
So- looks like you have a leak which has been detected by the sensor in the flood detection tray underneath which is there for exactly that purpose, sorry.

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

We bought a LG WD(M)-14341(6)FD washing machine approx 3 yrs ago and served us well. 2 weeks ago it developed a fault when the message FE flashed up on the LCD panel. We called a repair man in and he duly...

Hello,

The errors indicate the water valve or water sensor failure.
The washing machine have a water sensor to prevent overfilling. If you change the sensor, the washer will be work again.
FE error mean washer overfilling
PE error mean water sensor fault
I hope to be usefull !

WASHING MACHINE DOES NOT GO ON

Check your display panel again- there is no such error code for the LG WD-3245RHD. You can have: "dE", "tE", "FE", "PE", "CE", "LE", or "dHE" but there is no "D5" error code.

LG washing machine keeps stopping and it says OE

The LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly. Check the exit hose, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
