Where to put controller in between.

How to include Bose802 controller between mixer/amp and 2x802 speakers

Hi. Thanks for the data on the Studiomaster/Bose controller situation.

The trouble I have is that on top of the controller it states that they are portraying a seperate amp and mixer with the amp just before the speakers and the controller between the mixer and the amp.

I have an all-in-one mixer/amp. Where if possible do i wire it in?

    Many thanks, Pete

If you can't get between the preamp amd amp you will need a spearate dedicated amp.....

It appears this part didn't get to you the first time:

    http://www.bose.com/pdf/professional/802...

In a nutshell, the controller would go between any preamp Stereo OUTput and a dedicated amplifier INPUT. You really don't have much choice in the matter. The 802's and their controller are part of an inseperable system.

The Bose 802/901 family uses full-range speakers instead of traditional woofer/tweeter combinations, so they compensate for the response limitations at the extreme frequencies by using severe electronic modification of the program material. Hence, they are a system, functionally inseparable, but the results are outstanding. Consequently, they need a dedicated amplifier so they alone get the processing provided by their electronic component.

I don't have any data on your mixer/amp but if you can't insert the conroller logically between the mixer and its amps then you'll have to get separate dedicated amplification for the 802's, with the controller between the mixer and that amp.

How can i connect speekers with just copper wire to my mixer with red and white jacks

You didn't list the model number of the mixer, but from your description, your mixer does not have power amplifier outputs for speakers. The red and white RCA jacks are out puts that would plug into a power amp input, and the speakers would connect to the power amp, as in a PA system.

How to connect Mackie Mixer 1402vlz4 to Bose Accoustimass 5 speaker

you need a power amplifier between the mixer and the speakers to actually drive the speakers. You would have to choose which amp to use (the manual, found here: http://www.bose.ca/controller?url=/shop_online/speakers/stereo_speakers/acoustimass_5/index.jsp#manuals suggests between 10-200 WRMS for power), and thus would have to determine the cabling options depending on the amp you choose, but...go from either the MAIN or CONTROL ROOM outputs of the Mackie mixer into the inputs of the power amp. Then go from the outputs of the power amp to the inputs on the Acoustimass bass module, which also runs the Acoustimass satellite speakers.

Power mixer to a power amp.

You have two aux sends on that mixer so quite easy to use one of those to feed the external power amp. You could have one set of spkrs connected to that amp and another connected to the powered mixer. This would give you full independent control over each set.

I have a ep4000 amplifier, how can i connect to a mixer

The rule of thumb is you control your audio on the low side. That means you plug your mics, tuners, audio sources into the pre-amp and then the pre-amp into the equalizer/mixer ant finally the mixer into the power amp and the amp into the "large honkin' speakers". The inter connects on the low side (between the source, the mixer and the power amp are usually done with RCA plugs. Use a good quality set of cables to get good tight connections and solid grounding.

You will need at least a 24 channel mixer to give you spare channels. You also need an active crossover and a snake. The advice you need is too much to include here so I am including some links:http://mixonline.com/live/FixIts/, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_sound_mixing, http://mixinglivesound.com/blog/tag/outdoor-concerts/,http://mixinglivesound.com/blog/, and http://www.scribd.com/doc/11435651/Beginners-Guide-to-Mixing-Sound. You may need more monitors than you are planning on and you might consider in ear monitoring.

Amps ? stereo intergrated amps ?

Since the mixer has a line level output, yes you can use a home stereo for the "AMP". Use the AUX IN, TAPE IN or CD IN on the stereo and connect the speakers as you normally would.

How do I connect my behringer mixer desk to

The first thing to do is to swap teh L & R INPUTS to the amplifier. Did the speaker that works change?
If som the problem is with the setting of the mixer deck. If it did not change, then the problem is with your speaker wiring of the dead speaker, the speaker itself, or that side of the amp.
If the working speaker did swap, that means problem is with the mixer. The question then becomes how are you connecting to the mixer. You should be using TRS 1/4 inch connectors or preferably XLR from the MAIN outputs. These are balanced outputs connections.
If the inputs are from one of the mono inputs, the PAN control for that channel will control how much goes to each speaker... If at center, both will get same signal.
There are so many possibilities that I can't evaluate them until you try the test to find if it is problem of the amp or the mixer that I have given you to try.

Behringer pmh mixer manual. 20 channel 800watt powered mixer no speaker output. I need to test the power supply and the amp modual. Thanks

Are there lights or effects windows lit up? If so, the power supply is likely OK.

If neither speaker is working, that is bad however make sure all your trims and sliders are right to send audio through. Some have a standby switch.

This probably has an HCA2400 amp board in it and those can burn up for various reasons including loose speaker cables.

Ive bought a Peavey 1500 pa amplifier and would like to know are the a b knobs on the front treble and bass.If they are how would I take the outputs at the back of the amp to my Soundcraft mixer.

The Peavey A/B controls are output gain controls. Your mixers stereo output goes into the amps inputs, channels A & B. The Peavey is the output stage to your speaker system. If you you connect the outputs from a power amp to the inputs of a mixer you will blow the mixers input stage, amongst many other things and possibly damage the amplifier too. The bias (Bass, Mid, Treble controls) are on the mixer, not the amplifier. Unless you are using a mixer amp, which you are not. A PA system DOES NOT work in the same way as an intergrated hi fi amp.
