Genius 8X6 tablet wireless Mouse misfunction

My Genius pen/mouse 8x6 tablets, wireless mouse buttons are reversed or partially functional. on some programs it's OK. Others, it's unusable. I tried updating, & no change.
Love the unit. I wonder how anyone got along without them.
I would just liek it to work correctly. I have an Artrage Painting program that it work fine on and thn something like outlook, it doesn't function properly at all.
is this an Apple/mac/PC pothole?
